New Bridget Jones book to arrive in NovemberIt's been more than a decade since Helen Fielding published a novel about her character Bridget Jones, but it turns out there's more to Jones' story. Publisher Alfred A. Knopf announced Tuesday that Bridget Jones will return in a new book scheduled to arrive in November.
The currently untitled novel will still be in Jones' voice, but will find her in present-day London in a later stage of life, a statement from the publisher said. “My life has moved on and Bridget’s will move on, too," author Fielding said. “I hope people will have as much fun reading it, as I am writing it.” The first "Bridget Jones's Diary," which chronicled the humorous exploits of a 30-something single woman living in London in the '90s, was published in 1996. The sequel, "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason," landed in 1999. Both books were adapted into movies starring Renée Zellweger as the titular character, and between the two titles sold more than 15 million copies. It'll be interesting to see how the third book dovetails with the long-awaited movie threequel, which has been referred to as "Bridget Jones's Baby." |

Great...more stuff to make broads nuttier
Broads? Maybe that's why you find them nutty. Maybe it's the company you keep!
...and i keep a lot of broads company
First movie was a classic. Second was meh. Don't do a third. It was cute when Bridget(Renee) was in 30s but I don't want to see a 40-something Renee involved with 50-something Hugh Grant and/or Colin Firth (despite the fact that I'd see Colin Firth in just about anything).
Why's everybody always pickin' on me...?
