  • Steven Spielberg, ladies and gents, will head the jury at this year's Cannes festival from May 15-26. The "Cannes regular" screened his classic "E.T." at the fest, and its president Gilles Jacob has been on him to take over the lead position with the jury. "Ever since, I’ve often asked Steven to be jury president, but he’s always been shooting a film," Jacob said. "So when this year I was told 'E.T., phone home,' I understood and immediately replied: 'At last!' " [LAT]
  • Sad news for Anastacia fans: The pop singer has had to cancel her European tour, which was scheduled to begin in London on April 6, because she's been diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time. [USA Today]
  • Many outlets are paying a heap of attention to the fact that some paparazzi caught Jennifer Lawrence without makeup, but we're more occupied with her wine-and-hug session with a friend. J. Law, invite us next time! [Us Weekly]

From the band's name to the single's title, Thirty Seconds to Mars' mission to send a song into space makes perfect sense.

The Kimmel, Morrissey stand-off continues

The stand-off between Morrissey and Jimmy Kimmel is still on a roll, as both the late night host and the musician have gotten into a war of words over Morrissey's critical position on "Duck Dynasty."

If you'll recall, the former Smiths frontman pulled out of an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Tuesday because the cast members from "Duck Dynasty" were going to be on as guests.
