Chris Brown under investigation over alleged fightAuthorities are investigating allegations that Chris Brown punched an unnamed victim in an altercation in West Hollywood, California, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department tells CNN. According to a statement, deputies responded to a call of six men fighting on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. The brawl, which witnesses said was over a parking space, reportedly took place Sunday night at a recording studio.
Witnesses told deputies that Brown allegedly punched a victim during the standoff. Authorities haven't named the victim, but Grammy-nominated singer Frank Ocean has tweeted he was involved in the fight. HLNtv.com: Did Chris Brown violate his probation? "(G)ot jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there," Ocean tweeted Sunday night. "(C)ut my finger now I can't play w two hands at the grammys." According to the sheriff's department, the fight ended after the men were separated, and Brown and his camp were gone by the time deputies arrived. The investigation is ongoing, and the department said it plans to contact Brown at a later time. CNN has reached out to Brown and Ocean for comment, but there has been no response yet. According to MTV, Brown and Ocean have crossed paths before. In June 2011, the two exchanged words on Twitter after Ocean seemed to take offense to Brown comparing him to singer/songwriters such as James Fauntleroy and Kevin Cossum. Ocean reportedly fired back by comparing Brown to Sisqo and Ike Turner.
