Willy Wonka inspires Jack on '30 Rock'On last night’s penultimate episode of “30 Rock,” Liz fought to save TGS and Kenneth got a golden ticket. Liz and Criss were busy preparing for their adopted twins. He went shopping while she scrambled to watch all the episodes of "Treme" on their DVR. (It really does get good if you stick with it!)
She was hopeful that Jack would save TGS, but he could only schedule his “weird buddy” a presentation with the Kabletown board. Pete figured out that they could continue the show if she got a sponsor, so Liz went to see Bro Body Douche to convince him to get into TGS’ panties. No homo. Jeah? He was a fan but still insisted on some changes: “The whole tone of the show needs to be more, um - have you ever seen the porn version of ‘Transformers’?” Tracy and Jenna were worried that the end of TGS would mean the end of their careers, unless they got choice Batman roles. “We don’t need two roles, if we play Siamese twins.” Tracy saw twins of different races on the “My Obese Toddler Did My Step-Father’s Makeover” episode of “Maury,” so it was possible. While Liz was furious that no one was helping her save the show, Criss was shopping for Jack, meanwhile, enlisted Kenneth to take candidates for his old job on an interview tour, like Willy Wonka. “He’s a true capitalist. His factory has zero factory regulations, slave labor, and an indoor boat. Wonderful.” Kenneth said the new president should be the candidate with the purest heart, but Jack was looking for “a grave robber that’ll pick every last bauble off the corpse.” When none of the candidates panned out, Jack had a revelation. “So shines a goon’s deed in a weary world.” He rewarded Kenneth’s love of television by naming him president of NBC. “I’m giving it to you, the whole thing.” Back in the studio, just as the presentation of “The Man Cave, TV for your peen” began, Tracy and Jenna walked out on stage and quit. “They’re replaceable. We can get David Alan Grier and Miss Piggy,” Liz said. The entire crew quit for Liz’s own good. Tracy urged Liz to meet Criss at the airport, where he was waiting for their She got there in time to see her white and black twins Janet and Terry arrive. “What up, Liz Lemon, I will not be able to attend school tomorrow because of an issue with my lizard,” said Terry. “That seems about right,” said Liz. It did. This entire episode was exactly right, from the spot-on Willy Wonka parody to Liz’s rushed “light” lunch and Kenneth and Next week, the hour long series finale! How are you feeling now that we're close to "30 Rock's" end? |

best comedy ever. love how they make fun of other comedy and cable shows."Where you can really take a moment to let the jokes land". Im sorry im sure ill offend someone but shows like two and a half men, and big bang really suck. The lowest hanging fruit comedy on 30 rock was tracy jordan but he still managed to be hilarous.
