Sharon Osbourne: Lady Gaga is a bullyMess with Kelly Osbourne and you get Mama Osbourne shot back at Lady Gaga soon after the pop star posted an open letter to Kelly on her website Thursday, accusing her of being a bully on E!’s “Fashion Police." “I am responding to your open letter to my daughter Kelly, and I am perplexed as to why you would go public with an open letter,” Sharon posted on her Facebook page. “Regarding this current situation,” Sharon continues, “Kelly didn’t contact you, I was the one that contacted your manager … I reached out to him as Kelly’s manager and mother to ask him if you could address your 'little monster' fans and stop them from writing libelous, slanderous and vile comments about my family, including death threats to Kelly,” which she received after making comments about Gaga’s weight on “Fashion Police.” In response to Gaga’s note that Kelly has “chosen a less compassionate path” in life, working on “Fashion Police,” Sharon says: “I must say your opinions on what is politically correct and acceptable totally differ from mine, but that is what makes the world so interesting ... we are all different.” Sharon later calls Gaga a “hypocrite and an attention seeker,” noting, “it would have been much more dignified of you to do this privately. I am calling you a bully because you have 32 million followers hanging on your every word and you are criticizing Kelly in your open letter. Are you so desperate that you needed to make this public?” Kelly chimed in on Thursday evening via Twitter, writing, “I hope you guys realize that I don't care about any of this bulls-! I know who I am I don't need anyone to tell me!... love to all xoxo”

Fame is a tough thing.... Some people get addicted to the attention which is why some struggle so much after they lose it. They talk about this with regard to professional athletes but it also applies to people like Gaga and the Ozbornes. I thnk some of them are overwhelmed with the attention and turn to drugs and other abusive behavior. Some get paranoid about their images – and rightfully so since in the age image can make or break a career. So in this case both are just in damage control mode for their images. Gaga overreacted to what Kelly said and now Sharon is overreacting to Gaga – bottom line is they likely just need to declare a truce and let it all blow over. We will all forget about this in a couple weeks anyway!

Perhaps the real question is why ANY Osbourne (other than Ozzy) is even in the public eye.
Sharon Osbourne and her wacky children did not earn public recognition because of talent, they gained the public eye because they were so dysfunctional .

Sharon Osborne is a very savvy business woman, a manager, and someone who has dealt with a male-dominated industry for over 30 years. Pay some respect when you try to denigrate someone who has earned her rep.
Sharon Osborne was actually a big Record Executive in her own right long before she met Ozzy. She's got some considerable chops in her own right. And her "claim to fame" is suckering a whole bunch of people into watching a so-called "reality show" about her family, which (of course) had nothing to do with their actual home life and who they really are, thus helping her family build generational wealth.
Gaga's letter was quite civil and complimentary. Sharon is being somewhat of a pompous twit, albeit a loving and protective mother, and Kelly is obviously hiding under mother's wing and sticking her tongue out at the world like a spoiled, wealthy child. That's 'calling it like I sees it".

OK, I normally adore Sharon, but I think she's out of line. Kelly should've known better than to pick on someone's weight since not too long ago she was a porker. Shame on her. I personally found nothing terribly offensive about Lady G's letter. I agree it shouldn't have been made public, but Kelly's comments were from being on the show (and all over the internet machine)...either way I'm still a huge Lady G fan, but in this case I have to say both of them need to grow up.

The only person who I have respect for in this situation is Kelly. Her mom needs to butt out of her life and let her defend herself if she thinks she needs defending, and Gaga never should have taken the time to pen that letter in the first place, let alone post it publicly. I read Gaga's letter. I find it repulsive that Sharon said anything. It would have been better if she had not said anything. The letter was very professional and politically correct. There was not an insult to Kelly directly other than the type of show they are doing is rude. And it is.
I think Sharon stepped over the line. It does apear that Sharon being the older woman would have come across as a better role model but instead she came across as a hypocritical bully. Gaga wasn't a bully nor is a bully. But when you come out on national TV and make rude remarks publicly you better be prepared. Could somebody please tell me how Kelly's initial comment about Lady Gaga's weight–on a national television program, no less–was any less public? Just because you get paid to do it, doesn't make it any less mean and hurtful.
Lady Gaga will be yesterday's news soon enough. It is the pattern of fads. They come, then they go. Stars behave like they will last forever but she is not the quality it takes to have longevity. Adele has longevity. Lady Gaga is a fad. There is a huge difference between someone who has true timeless talent that will be talked about for decades (Adele) and a flavor of the week attention seeker who's fame will fade quicker (Lady Gaga).

Yeah, Sharon's real classy alright – stole Ozzy as a client from her father who was Ozzy's manager. Also, she had the original bass and drum parts scrubbed off the reissues of Ozzy's first two solo albums so they wouldn't have to pay royalties to the original bassist and drummer – real classy.

I'm with Gaga on this one. She does not ridicule anyone, she is all about BUILDING self esteem. But both Kelly and her mother are known to loudly voice their opinions about how people look, especially when it's something bad. Mrs. O really has no room to talk since she's now about 80 percent plastic and botox now, and Kelly shouldn't talk at all since she has been "fat" before and knows how it feels to be bullied. She has also tried, and apparently failed, at a singing career which was mostly due (IMO) to the fact that she's Ozzy Osbourne's daughter and therefore almost expected to try and follow in his footsteps. This is the biggest deservice Sharon can do to her family and to herself. Whatever respect I had for Ozzie it's gone; his talent and fame alone helped there two strident characters reach fame, and they are profoundly painful to watch. These two bullies are hurting many people with their comments.

Lady Gaga is constantly encouraging her fans to demonstrate kindness, tolerance, and respect to others. It's a refreshingly positive message, regardless of your feelings about the messenger. Meanwhile Sharon's daughter Kelly makes a living ridiculing the physical appearances of others, including Lady Gaga. Apparently Sharon holds Gaga accountable for the behavior of every one of her millions of fans, but doesn't think Kelly should be held accountable for her own behavior.
