'Fifty Shades' screenwriter's thinking NC-17It looks like if screenwriter Kelly Marcel gets her way, "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be as "adult" as readers have hoped. The writer, who was brought on to pen the script for Universal's adaptation of the S&M-themed best-seller last year, recently told the U.K.'s Sunday Times that she wants to make sure "Fifty Shades'" steaminess remains intact. “It will be rated NC-17," Marcel said, via EW. "It will be raunchy.” Universal isn't as convinced. In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, a spokesperson said that, with the screenplay still unwritten, the "Fifty Shades" adaptation doesn't have a designated rating yet. |

FOR MY INFO....NOW WHAT TIMES IS IT?
are you mad?
Good luck... Unless this film is produced and funded outside the US that simply won't happen. Hollywood/LA hasn't got the b*lls to produce a serious NC-17 film, for crying outload, they made Kubrick cut his film (Eyes Wide Shut) to avoid an NC-17 and he was Kubrick, the man the legend.... If this is an American film, the best this writer can hope for will be a strong "R" rating.
would have never done this
sure i would
better...
The only difference between this book and any other junky adult-rated fiction is the amount of marketing that backed it.
very interesting...
