Where are the nominations for 'The Walking Dead'? That is a great series with incredible acting. It is the most popular cable show for a reason – it deserves to win. The Golden Globes gets it wrong again.
:0
"Not Running Anymore" (Music by Jon Bon Jovi; Lyrics by Jon Bon Jovi) – "Stand Up Guys"
franenweenie should winss
they become a pest on tv so we have to cut the cord.
WHY is "Parenthood" always overlooked!!!
I agree Karen!! I think its one of the BEST shows ever in a long time!
Come on everyone knows Wilfred is the best comedy TV show right now followed by The Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, South Park.
I for one am sick of seeing Modern Family walk away with all the awards year after year. Yes, they're good, yes, even great, but they are NOT the best. Big Bang Theory has them beat hands down. Their shows are always refreshing, and you might actually learn something while having a good time. Jim Parsons, actually the whole cast are as good as it gets.
I know once again MF will win that doesn't make them the best. Let the public vote and see who takes home trophies.
Where the heck are "The Hunger Games" nominations?? I expected to see Jennifer, Woody or Elizabeth nominated, and maybe a nom for Best Movie, but alas, no luck 🙁 %$##@!
an honor ... we don't win them for fun...we earn them...
I think it is sad that it is always the same TV shows – I think the writing on Psych is great and should acknowledged along with a couple of other shows from the USA, TNT & A&E network.
Also I think Ben Affleck should have been nominated in the best actor category for Argo!!
Robo.to puts all your latest stuff from around the web into one tiny calling card
that lets you update your status with video.
The Golden Globes are a JOKE. The Hollywood Foreign Press Assoc, who gives the awards, has only 90 members. So with 5 nominees in each category, that means a nominee could win with as few as only 19 votes. That’s right: you can get an award if only 19 people think you should. Compare that with the Academy Awards, where almost 6,000 members vote, and you can see which award might carry more weight. What business do foreign press correspondents have giving awards to U.S. movies anyway? Ridiculous…
the walking dead is for me.
they win by votes...everyone knows that...
How did Django get nominated? It hasn't even been released yet!
Because the nominations don't follow movie release dates... it's based on the nominating body's viewing of the film. A film can be submitted before it is released to theaters.
i am worrying abou that right now jaz...thank you
it could be headed to the next goal/eatocracy
What happened to SOA? Best show ever....
they are from the cupcake factory..zummy zummy.

Abraham Lincoln is one of the biggest war criminals to ever grace the face of the earth. He allowed and encourage his military to rape, pillage, burn, and terrorize civilians who had nothing to do with the war. Slave labor was allowed to persist in Delaware and West Virginia during the Civil War to give them more time to gradually phase it out without damaging their economies, giving the Union two more states. Lincoln said he did not believe blacks would ever be equal to whites. So we have a racist, murdering, lying, extorting President who is worshipped by liberals like some sort of demi-god. Yet he was just a total fraud. Even Britain knew this and sided with the South. That war had absolutely nothing to do with slavery. It had to do with the power of the federal government to overstep the limitations placed upon it by the 10th Amendment.
I find it HI-LARIOUS that you are targeting "liberals" as worshipping the man. Who calls themselves "The Party of Lincoln", again? For crying out loud...educate yourself.
JJ, get off your right-winged cloud! You could say the same for Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush Sr., and George W. Bush as well. Republicans do the same 'worship' of Reagen and he is one of the worst presidents in recent history.
you cannot compete with that.
Lincoln is the greatest president in American history. His greatest acomplishment was passing the constiutional amendment that freed slaves and thus ended the Civil War. He was a visionary. If you dont' GET it, you need to study your history.
good night everyone happy blogging!
I'm having a hard time understanding how Django Unchained got nominated for best EVERYTHING, but Best Actor and Best Actress... surely Jamie Foxx and Kerry Washington had to be deliver performances as good as EVERYBODY else involved in the movie? Whtat is the rationale for this snub?
How idiotic is it to nominate a movie for anything two weeks before it is released. Why bother to show it to us at all – just make the movie, put it on the shelf, nominate it for some awards and give the awards out. Apparently, it does not matter whether the public has seen it or what we think at all.
I'm glad to hear "Abraham Lincoln – Vampire Hunter" is getting proper recognition.
Walking Dead? What is it? Everyone seems very upset about it not getting nomiated. Never seen it. As far as series go, I do have to say the Downton Abbey and Boardwalk Empire are excellent. Hatfields and McCoys was one of the best things on this year too.
Really? Newsroom over the Walking Dead? And that garbage Girls...please..it's a joke!
I was hoping for Game of Thrones personally...
I tried watching H&M. Way too slow and not really presented well. The Walking Dead is one of the best shows this season. The other two were just okay. I like Downton Abbey also, haven;t seen B.E. I got tired of the whole gangster thing. You should really check out the W.D.
i'm glad she's ominated too
Snubbed! TV:
"GLEE"-A new season with the original cast no longer around trying new ideas with new cast, but music is still awesome!
"The Walking Dead"-what is there to say? its The Walking Dead= Amazing Show/Cast/Writing
"ParentHood"-–Amazing cast/writers/ a look into the new American family
"Once Upon a Time"-Great cast/ writers, and who doesn't like a twist about our favorite fairy tale characters
"Dexter"–Enough said
Snubbed! Movies:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower-amazing young three actors, amazing coming of age story, dealing with harsh realities.
The Hunger Games-Jennifer Lawrence pretty much carried this movie on her back! without her this movie could have gone wrong.
Anna Karenina-- Keira Knightley is a great "period" piece actress she loves to play roles outside the 20th & 21st century periods and she does it well.
Perfect Pitch- Amazing cast/Writers. Anna Kendrick should have been nominated for her lead performance, it was a surprise smash hit of 2012.
I'm sure there are more, but theses are the ones that stuck out in my head the most.
Glad to see Jessica Lange ominated again maybe she can pull off winning it two years in a row for AHS.
Where's "Beasts of the Southern Wild"? I was sure that would receive at least a couple nominations!
And for TV, where's game of thrones?? There's no way anyone who watched last season can tell me that it wasn't deserving!
Where is The Walking Dead?! How about Andrew Lincoln?!
Agreed!. TWD was totally snubbed. Andrew Lincoln has earned a nom or two.
Lincoln was great.
No Walking Dead???? You've got to be kidding me! Best, most original show ever on TV, GG – you ought to be ashamed
Most original show on TV!?! Are you nuts? Yeah, never ever seen a zombie movie before. And that's all it is, as Kevin Smith puts it in that AMC promo,"A zombie movie that goes on and on." Just because the overdone genre has oozed into television, doesn't make it "original." Ugh.
goal
enjoy blogging this afternoon
we got the others too
I really think Quvenzhane Wallis should have been nominated for Best Actress for Beasts of the Southern Wild...Most powerful performance I seen all year. The movie should have also been nominated.
Careful Ida. your bigoted ideas still make no sense. take your morals and ideals that were formed in the 196Os i assume. whenever they were formed you need to wake up.
that's why people get the nomination for the golden globes and most do not.
I think a Bill Hicks quote is in order "go back to bed America, your government has everything under control. Here's "American gladiators", here's 57 channels of it. Go back to bed America...."
Another death hero...
Ahhh "Lincoln" another liberal attempt to revise history from the fact that Lincoln was a racist that wanted all black people to be shipped back to Africa, detained 10,000 opponents as political prisoners during the war and the fact that the true reason for the civil war was the Morrill Tarriff imposed by th industrial north on the south, also the destruction of the true America and the forming of its current iteration which consolidates power in the federal government which was never the intention of the founding fathers.
Another Republican racist.
Yes, history as Fox News has dictated it to you. Congratulations, minion, you graduate from the School of Hate with a BS in American Revisionism History. Be sure to update your resume before heading down to the warehouse for your interview.
Lincoln was a conservative/republican.
Fred, not sure if you are aware, but Lincoln was a Republican.
Why is Sons of Anarchy passed over again?
Day-Lewis definitely has one for Lincoln.
Moonrise Kingdom? At least the music?
What about SONS OF ANARCHY. Hello better ratings then all these shows. I am done with these useless award shows. I guess 20 million people who watch SOA, Walking Dead, and Spartacus Vengeance must those Romney's 20 percent. We all just living for handouts
I can't believe both SoA and The Walking Dead weren't nominated. It's the same stupid crap. Usually the GG are more hip than the Emmys... I know the Emmys will never nominate them, but I thought the GG might.
If the gubment gave out the Golden Globes, a lot more colored people would be nominated.
I'm colored. That would be mega cool. I'd get an award for being the most handsome coolest guy on the planet.
My color is green. Just like a cool Martian ! I'm mega cool. And awesome.
What??? No Dexter?? Pffffttt....
I've been a fan of Dexter from the beginning and I'm still watching, but I think it has jumped the shark. Big-time. The bazillion subplots, the acting in recent seasons, nothing about it merits a nomination of any kind, much less a win. The last great acting performances were during the John Lithgow season. It's been pure downhill ever since. Just sayin'.
Patti... The show is still genius and Michael C Hall has been with a character that shows change throughout the seasons based on the situations that have happened previously. His acting his superb. Desmond Harrington, to me is the next strongest actor of the regulars. I think this past season he really shined.
The show itself has not gone 'downhill' but has reinvented itself because after Rita's death, they had to create a new world for Dexter. The show has become much more dark. In the first couple seasons it was humorous and a light feel to it. Now, it is so dark and twisted especially trying to figure out Dexter's changing feelings towards everything that is taking place.
I think next year would be a great time for the show to end. Too many people now know what Dexter is up to.
Yeah, Desmond Harrington is really good in his role but frankly his plotline is so weirdly written that it totally distracts from his performance. Still I can't wait to see what twist they have for Quinn in the finale..
I can't believe that The Walking Dead got no recognition!
I agree with everyone about Sons of Anarchy...definitely the best show on TV right now. When Opie died, I was truly heartbroken. Not many shows can generate that kind of emotion in their viewers and this one has done it numerous times.
Thank God, "The Life of Pi" got nominated for Best Picture and Best Director! A magnificent film!
Why do they nominate the same crap tv shows. ??!! It's ok I won't their rubbish award show anyway. Have fun you self-important losers
Where is 'Breathe of LIfe" by Florence + The Machiene that was in Snow White and the Huntsman. It was the only redeeming factor of sitting through 2 hours of Kristen Stewards dismal performance.
Where is recognition for Fringe? It's one of the best sic fi shows ever! Great acting, especially John Noble.
Agreed 100% John Noble should have been nominated year after year for his role in Fringe. When you see shows like Smash, Nashville and the Newsroom nominated you wonder if the people nominating these show even watch any of it. Not that any of these shows are bad, just that John Noble deserves a nomination for his superb acting in Fringe.
You're absolutely right on as I was thinking the same thing. Why is Fringe and particularly the great John Noble not recognized here? Noble's portrayal of the enigmatic "Walter Bishop" is one, if not the most, intriguing, diverse and haunting characters on television in the last 30 years.
Frustrating that most nominees are on channels that a lot of people can't afford to pay for.
Interesting that you say that – was listening to an interview with Mandy Patankin (sp) (Homeland) and he was saying the same thing – that he wished more people could see the show.
they a know a fool when they see one...its their job....
I agree with Kerry,m where is Charlie Hunnman nomination, damn these people, they must watch TV back when they used vacuum tubes. Jax Teller is one of the best characters on TV but these fools would not know acting if it hit them in the face
"maybe" that is "acting" to YOU, but please realize many, MANY people laugh at the horrible acting on that show, I being one of them. They are either "whispering" or screaming for no reason it's just so awful I could go on and on how bad it is.....hahaha!
If you think that Hayden Panettiere, Miss I like to date men my fathers age, can act better then Katy Sagal, in SOA then I have decided let the Fiscal Cliff come and take all my money away. This thing is a train wreck. Sons Of Anarchy is by far the mosy kick ass show on TV. One time be brave a nominate a show with some balls.
ummmmmmmmm, it's just a tv show. You seriously need to get a life.
i agree-kerry washington should have been nominated. i want clive owen, helen mirren, and denzel washington to win. i do not like sofia vergara or her show
Sons of anarchy is the best damn show on tv and these idiots nominate the same shows. After 6 seasons why does SOA never get the respect it deserves.
Gyp Rosetti (Bobby Cannavale) was gypped! his performance on 'Boardwalk Empire' this entire past season was a beautiful combination of terror & hubris. he should have garnered a nomination. damn & blast. : (
Why is'nt Carry washington nominated for Scandal. She is by far the best actress on boring eveing Television these day. And by the way "Scandal " is an excellent drama, one of the best right now. I tell you politics in Hollywood is something else. So sad!!!!
Why does Sons of Anarchy never get nominated? One of the best drama's on F/X and it never seems to get recognized.
never to late to be nominated–
Isn't it a little too late to nominate TBBT? There better series right now. I also can't believe they're nominating Smash, Girls and Episodes before Go On or The New Normal. It seems that to be nominated you either have to be a complete flop in audience, or have had many seasons already (and then get the nomination for the one season you deserve the less)...
