Danny DeVito's trying to work it out with Rhea PerlmanDanny DeVito's recent separation from his wife Rhea Perlman was one of the more heartbreaking splits that happened this year, but it sounds like there's hope for the couple. DeVito recently told "Extra" that he and Perlman, whom he married in 1982 while on a lunch break from his TV series "Taxi," are still trying to repair their relationship. The two announced their separation in October, but didn't explain what led to the rift in their marriage. But when 68-year-old DeVito was asked whether he was adjusting to life as a single man, he hesitated and explained that he wasn't really solo these days. "Rhea and I are really close, and actually still together," DeVito said. "Separate, but still together." As far as a reconciliation? "We're working on it," he said.

Neither one is going to win a beauty contest, but they're both successful actors. They have been married for so long their successes financially are both theirs to be split equally. Having and raising kids took her out of the game for a while, but I still remember seeing her over the years in small parts..she didn't have the freedom he had.
It never ceases to amaze me how many armchair professors of no knowledge are out there. Let's wish them luck and move on to cleaning our own closets.

Glad to hear they are trying. That's what most married people should do. Most don't. Thirty years is a long time to not try to work on it. I'm married 25 years, and although it's had a lot of ups and downs, my husband is the one who has been with me the longest, and that means something. Hoping it does for these two too!!
They have to spend more time with each other, each day, doing things to make each other happy, or it will fall apart. That's how people work, man or woman, both the same result, for the same reason.

Let's see..........she's had an extensive career in TV and film also. She makes her own money. She gave birth to their children and help raise them. She put up with his PHILANDERING for YEARS!!!!!! Apparently, he hits on anything that moves. Just as recent as last year some young girl complained about him trying to touch her at a premiere. I think we know which one is the loser in this couple.

In Pakistan this is very common – Since we have nuclear technology and lots of missiles it is usually leads to marital issues and problems. But we are a nuclear power and hence problems of divorce and patching up always happen. We are very industrial nation. Thanks and have a great day.
Wow! I have never before heard anyone attempt to try to connect a nation's possession of nuclear weapons with their individual citizens' tendency to divorce and/or reconcile.
Is there any correlating data on subject in the U.S., Russia, Britain, France, China, India, and Israel? I'm telling you, there's PhD dissertation on this subject waiting to be written, and maybe even the Nobel Prize in Fizzicks.

Yes, they are celebrities, but when the bright lights go out, they are just another married couple trying to make things good for themselves and their family. They seem like two nice people and a nice couple. I hope they give each other a big hug and make it all work out.

I would rather be with them instead of the other plastic phony divas that permeate Hollywood. When they say something you believe it comes from the heart, not a PR firm or some polictical action commitee.
