'Amazing Spider-Man 2' finds its Harry Osborn

The cast for "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel is swinging into clear view.

Marvel's confirmed that actor Dane DeHaan, whom you may have seen on "In Treatment" as Jesse D'Amato or in this year's "Lawless" alongside Shia LaBeouf, has signed on to portray Harry Osborn.

Last month, THR reported that Sam Claflin, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth and Boyd Holbrook were among the actors testing to play the part of Peter Parker's friend and eventual enemy.

DeHaan was also one of the names floating about initially, and it seems he's won over director Marc Webb, as he called him an "exciting and extraordinary young actor and he is a fantastic addition to our cast."

Joining DeHaan are Shailene Woodley, the "Secret Life of the American Teenager" actress who was in talks to play Mary Jane, and Jamie Foxx, who was circling the role of Electro. Emma Stone will also be back, as will Andrew Garfield, who donned the Spidey suit for this year's first installment.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" will open May 2, 2014.

Lul really? Anyways, is there ever going to be a Spider-Man movie that will capture Venom as the main villain and actually portray Venom the way he looks and acts in the comics? Probably not.. :/

I liked the Amazing spiderman with Andrew Garfield. Good plot and good action, keep up the good work and keep the action coming. It would be exciting to see an installment of Spiderman vs the Jaugernaut( CGI character or big wrestler playing the part). 🙂

The Juggernaut isn't a spiderman villain. Besides Electro has been confirmed for the second movie, and they're clearly setting up the green goblin for the third.

why are they making these films all over again? I really liked Spideman growing up, and dont even have any interest because of the overkill. Go away Spiderman, youre annoying.

These guys made this reboot series so that Marvel Studios couldn't buy the rights to Spider-Man and set him up as another member of the Avengers, like he is in the series. Typical, make money off mediocrity. At least Marvel bought back Daredevil and The Punisher.

Spiderman is a memeber of the NEW avanegers, not the original avengers.
