While you were working ...

Today's news you might've missed:

  • Frankie Muniz suffered a mini-stroke last Friday, and while we agree that he does need to take care of himself (we hope you feel better, Frankie!), we disagree that he's getting old. He's only turning 27 on December 5! [Twitter]
  • Not quite a mega-movie-franchise, but a TV deal isn't bad. J.K. Rowling's "The Casual Vacancy" is being turned into a drama for BBC One. [Telegraph]
  • The New York Film Critics Circle enjoyed Matthew McConaughey in chaps as much as we did. He won the best supporting actor award for his raunchy romp in "Magic Mike" as well as for his work in "Bernie." [NYFCC]
  • Kate Bosworth has been flying low on the Hollywood radar lately, but perhaps she's been quietly angling for a music career. The 29-year-old actress shows her vocal ability in a new holiday-themed ad for Topshop.

  • Taylor Swift appears to be fully aware that the holiday season is the best time to find a ... let's say "friend," seeing that it's cold outside, presents are about to be exchanged, etc. The chart-topping singer has Swiftly moved on from her romance with Conor Kennedy to holding hands at the Central Park Zoo with One Direction's Harry Styles. [MTV]
  • This Rob Kardashian/Rita Ora gossip is growing a longer tail. Apparently, the youngest Kardashian went back in for a round two Monday evening on his supposed cheating ex, whom the Internet has concluded is Rita Ora. [Gossip Cop]
  • Fringies, the end is near: "Fringe" executive producer Joel Wyman has been tweeting images from the set as the final episode is being shot (which also happens to be the 100th episode, which cast and crew celebrated over the weekend). Its title? "An Enemy of Fate." [Hypable]
  • It may not have gone over well with parents of impressionable kids, but Matt Damon's giggly "tossing salad" joke on "Today" this morning has us hoping he's going to be a tawdry-minded regular.

Chris Brown ready to start a 'new chapter'

Chris Brown didn't desert Twitter-land for long.

The singer - who's never ceased sharing photos like this one, where Rihanna sits next to him wearing just a blanket and underwear, or this one, where he smokes something he refers to as "medicinal" - has returned to his Twitter account.

DMX sings 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer'

Of all the versions we've heard of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," DMX's has become a favorite.

Even if you're not the type to play holiday music incessantly as soon as Black Friday hits, you'll probably get a kick out of the rapper's performance.

While at New York's Power 105.1 radio station on Monday, DMX went along with a request to sing the Christmastime classic - in his own special way, of course.

Punctuated by enthusiastic "c'mon's" and table-top percussion, X offered a remix highlighted by his signature gravelly vocals. This one will go down in history, for sure.

Sneak peek at Beyonce's 'raw' HBO documentary

At just 25 seconds in length, the new clip for Beyonce's upcoming HBO documentary is the tease of all teases.

"I always battle with how much do I reveal about myself," Bey says as it begins, before going on to reveal not very much at all. (We get it, she has to save something for the actual event.)
