Angus Jones won't be in next two 'Men' episodes

While we wait to see how Angus T. Jones' complaints about "Two and a Half Men" could impact production in the long run, we do know that Jones will not appear in the next two episodes.

That's according to sources close to production, who tell CNN that the CBS sitcom has two more episodes to shoot before going on holiday break. Both of the episodes were written well in advance of Jones' video confession, which whipped around the Web on Monday.

The 19-year-old actor, who's seen speaking with Christopher Hudson of the Forerunner Chronicles in the video, calls "Two and a Half Men" "filth" and repeatedly asks those listening to not watch the show.

"I'm on 'Two and a Half Men,' and I don't want to be on it," Jones said. "You can not be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can't. I'm not OK with what I'm learning, what the Bible says, and being on that television show. You go all or nothing."

Jones has played Jake Harper, the son of Jon Cryer's character Alan, since 2003.

According to a statement from the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Jones joined a church in the San Fernando Valley area in June of this year, making him one of the 1.1 million North American members of the Protestant organization.

However, the Church adds in a statement issued Tuesday that the video clip that's been raking up views is not affiliated with their organization.

"Many inquiries have come to the Church regarding the Forerunner Chronicles interview," the statement says. "We are unable to offer information because Forerunner Chronicles is not a ministry operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its host is not a pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church."

The communication director for the Church, George Johnson, added that they're " happy that Angus has joined" and has "found a place in which he feels comfortable to worship and grow his faith."

Jones has also discussed his faith journey with a program called "Turning Point," which is produced by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. That interview will air on Hope Channel (DirecTV channel 368) on November 30 at 8 p.m. ET.

Way past time to end that lame show. The network should find another vehicle for Jon Cryer to co-star in if they want him so bad. Remember Teddy Z?

Here are a couple things I know about "Angus":
    1. No way his stage name should be "Jake". More like "Twink", "Aubrey", Kelsey, Rory or maybe Jackie.
    2. No way his character is in the Army.
    3. No way a half naked Miley Cyrus would be cozy with Angus unless she was cashing a big check.
    4. He's not funny, is he?

Just fire the kid, spin the story to make him gone from the show and move on. Show definitely doesn't need him to be funny/entertaining.

UNLESS HIS CHARACTER HAS ALREADY SERVED A TOUR, HE SHOULDN'T BE WEARING A COMBAT PATCH.

ALSO, WHY A COMBAT PATCH AND NOT A COMBAT FLAG?

I'm not a big fan of this show, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it filth, it's just not my kind of show. If he feels so strongly that people shouldn't watch it, he needs to give all of his money to his little church that he has made from this show. All of it.

Hopefully some day he will actually grow up and learn that religion is a business.

    Dear Angus,

It's not too late. I'm guessing that your "apology" came about as a result of your lawyer explaining how from a legal perspective, it wasn't a good idea to call the show that you currently star on (that pays you a ridiculous amount of money) filth. What happens if people listen to you and stop watching the show. It gets canceled putting a number of people out of work. It's important to remember that many of them make a lot less than old Angus. I can see the lawyers lining up now.

    Here's the fix...
    1. Drive yourself to Lindsay Lohan's house.
    2. Get good and drunk until you pass out on her lawn. Make that whole "guilt by association" work for you.
    3. Check yourself into a 30 day treatment program.
    4. After you get out, sit for an interview with Barbara Walters. She's old enough to be your great grandmother so be sure to say "mam" as much as possible. She'll cut you some slack. Explain how badly the drugs messed you up. Be sure to mention you spent time on set with Charlie Sheen. Again make guilt by association work for you.
    5. DON'T SAY ANYTHING ELSE... TO ANYONE... EVER.

Of course to people who are spiritually dead...the preaching of the Cross is foolishness....so I do not expect many people to understand that message.

The Seventh Day Adventist Church does not 'brainwash' anyone.
The answers to 99% of your questions are found in the Bible. We believe that scripture interprets itself. Whereas many churches use 1 or 2 verses to prove a point...we reference many such verses....so as to leave no room for doubt.
Much of what you were taught at church is WRONG. Subjects such as death and dying, to the Miillennium Kingdom has been skewered by your mainstream churches such as the Baptists (I know because I was raised as a Baptist), Methodists etc etc.

This is funny and SAD news when you remember the episode that had Charlie banging the devil worshipping witch that freaked out Alan and Charlie. She had Jake (Angus) praying to the "horned one" and Alan ordered him to his room. He said, "I'm old enough to choose my own religion." (He was only about 9 or 10) He also sneezes in that episode and somebody says, "god bless you" He answers " He better, I sent him five bucks" (after he sent $ to some charlatan TV preacher who promised him good luck if he sent in money.) OH THE IRONY.

OK, there is some weirdness going on here. The 7th Day Adventist Church is a respectable religion, no problem there – but in the video clip, he is speaking with some dude from the Forerunner Chronicles. If you look a the website for the Chronicles, it gets....weird. He talks about black helicopters preparing for the end time, war on religion – it is generally poorly written and full of misspellings – the site also hawks DVD and books. Also, if you put the physical address into Google Earth, it comes up to some average looking home in Alabama. Off hand I tend to believe the "preacher" is more of a cultist, or just trying to extract money from Mr. Jones' pocket.

And there are other factors going on here – he couldn't of worked without his parents approving it, since he was a minor – didn't they read the scripts? Now that he is an "adult", this reeks of teenage angst more than some sincere effort at religion.....

Until his contract runs out he can just donate his ridiculously high paycheck to his church. I am glad that he has develop a sense of "self" but it is classless to trash talk your show in public. Angus has a right to express his opinion as much as we all do. His dilemma is easily resolved. Just have his agent talk to the producers and see if they will allow him to bow out gracefully. I disagree with him "biting the hands" that have fed him since 2003. But if he really believes what he is saying he should do whatever it takes to not be on the show anymore. Plain and simple. And for all the Christian posters, I'm glad you feel strongly about your beliefs and I can respect your right to that as well but please don't assume yours is the only view of God. Be respectful. This show is not going to leave the air because you disagree with its type of humor. Just don't watch it like Angus says. As for me and the millions of others who like the show, we'll continue to watch it and love it. We know its only comedy. : ).

It is what it is, and Jesus is coming back soon, and if people don't see the truth and don't want to hear it, you will be separated from God eternally. The only thing I ever disliked about Two and Half Men is that even booze hound Charlie still professes to "believe' in the lord. David,
Seriously? A nineteen year old doesn't have the right to decide for himself what he thinks is morally right or wrong? One can argue that he should keep his feelings private, but it is up to every individual to decide for themselves what they will or will not be a part of and what is morally right or wrong. If he has come to a point in his life where he feels what he is doing is wrong then it is only shows integrity to make his actions (getting out his contract, if possible) match his beliefs.

We need to make it illegal to take minors into church, just like it's illegal for them to drink in a bar. Thank you SO MUCH csb sevety and rite4life for proving my point about the IGNORANCE of religion. First "science" book ever written??????? You must be joking and egging me on. The bible was written before say......the mayan calendar, which accurately predicts planetary movements. The bible calls bats "birds" ........Hate Ignorance and Bigotry??? The bible says you should only beat your slaves just enough, that you shouldn't let disabled people into church, "non believers in your house, forbids xmas trees, that thinking occurs in "the heart" The 10th Commandment is to NOT BOIL A BABY GOAT IN THE MILD OF ITS MOTHER. So much wisdom in the "good" book.....It IS a good book, GOOD FOR A LAUGH.

And Mark (Mr White), you weren't raised Christian. You may have been raised in a church building, but not Christian. It takes much more intellect to be a believer than a non-believer....think about it.

Poor Mark, so juvenile that he interpreted a post of mine as proving his point, even though I didn't acknowledge anything he said. Funny how these internet lunatics think they're always right. As Mark sits here and attempts to virtually bully people over their beliefs, the real scientists are doing work. People like Mark remind me of NFL fans, they think they actually play for the team they're rooting for. What a lose.

Hey, Mark... you're one of the very few on this site that makes any sense at all.

I want to be on your team... rock on. Isn't it funny how nearly all brilliant scientists are atheists? Gee, i wonder why that is????

Only 41% of scientists claim to be atheists. It's hard to appear intellectual when your facts are NOT.

Interesting, Mark. It worked in reverse for me. I was working with 3 others in med school on a cadaver and we were studying the heart. Someone asked how the threads holding the cusps of the tricuspid valve could have evolved, since without these tiny string-like structures we would be dead, and it got me thinking. In hindsight, now I realize why most people I know in the medical field do not believe in evolution, there are just too many anatomical parts and physiological processes that could not evolve, because they life is dependent on them. Evolution is simply the best theory atheistic scientists could come up with having eliminated the possibility of design, like ant scientists trying to explain the natural evolutionary origins of the light bulb.

I don't see this a$$ hat donating his 6-figure an episode salary to any churches or charities! OR using it to buy out his contract at this job that leaves him so 'morally conflicted.' But I guess he figures this way he can sabotage the whole show, (and in the process, all of those employed by it), in oder to absolve himself of the responsibility in any professional way.

If he thinks the show is "filth", then he should quit or ask to be let out of his contract. There are other people who work on that show, like crew members, and to jeopardize their jobs just because he "found religion" is extremely selfish. It ticks me off that some Christians always tend to focus on the side of "the devil" and the negative parts of Christianity, when the most important part of it is to be loving toward all people.

I think most people are accepting of his actual views, just now how he is handling the situation and find him to be the hypocritical one. If that is the way he feels, then why is he still on the show? He didn't have to sign a contract. He didn't have to accept the 6 figure salary per episode. Until he donates all of his earnings to his church or any charity he has/is taking advantage of the very filth he so adamantly despises and is equally if not more hypocritical.

What's in the water on the set of "Two and a half men"? First Charlie Sheen goes absolutely nuts, and now ths kid says it's filth! What makes this show's stars want to destroy the show? How much money has this guy earned since he started on the show in 2003? If he doesn't want to be on the show, he should quit. By the way, I've never watched a full episode of this TV show; I think it's absolute dreck! But that's beside the point.

Great job Angus! Why should anyone say anything negative about standing up for what the Bible says? The show has become even worse, morally and ethically. Smoking weed...like they are trying to remind people of "That 70's show" since Ashton Kutcher is not creating the big comeback of Two and a Half Men that they hoped for??? Sleeping with all kinds of women, drinking, suicide attempts, lying, etc., ...even more now. Hope that show goes off the air.

Just saying it's not appropriately "Biblical" is not enough. What part of the Bible, etc?

The Bible prescribes a lot of things that we do not follow today. For instance, slavery (Colossians 4:1 -
"Masters, treat your bondservants justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven" and so forth). That's one reason why I don't always see it as positive to stand "up for what the Bible says."

Mouthing Biblical phrases like this poor young man is doing that are fed to him through the brainwashing of someone like Hudson is just being a parrot, not showing any enlightenment or guidance. It's not a message or example that I would want my children to follow.

The FILTH is in your religious preaching there "GUEST" Religious "freedom" does not mean the freedom to spout delusional lies to children about "hell" to deny science, to interfere with women's health choices, or to stick your delusions into government policy We are becoming a nation of less and less "faith" Go get a science book. The bible is an instruction manual for murder, child abuse, abuse of women, slavery, and how to stay IGNORANT. You bible thumpers arte the Taliban here in America, and not friends of the USA. Too bad the religious sickos snagged this kid.
