Here's why Chris Brown's Twitter account no longer exists

Chris Brown's Twitter account is once again nonexistent after the 23-year-old singer got in a vulgar war of words with comedian and writer Jenny Johnson on Sunday.

The stomach-churning exchange of messages all began with Brown tweeting, "I look old as f***! I'm only 23," and Johnson responding, "I know! Being a worthless piece of s*** can really age a person."

The potty humor gets worse from here on out, so if you're the sensitive type, be forewarned.

The back-and-forth between Brown and Johnson, some of which can be seen on Johnson's still-public feed, continued for at least half-an-hour. Brown bit back at Johnson's initial reply with a derogatory comment referencing oral sex, to which Johnson readily corrected his spelling.

From there, Brown made a lewd comment about farting, to which Johnson replied, "Your mom must be so proud of you." She also posted a link to a 2009 MTV News story containing details of Brown's assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna.

After another round of scatological chatter, both Johnson and Brown seemed to give in.

"Okay. I'm done," Johnson wrote, later adding, "I have zero respect for a person who seems unapologetic for the terrible crime he committed and shows no signs of changing."

Before shutting down his Twitter account, Brown told his fans, "To teambreezy... Know that I'm not upset. Just felt like entertaining the ignorance ... Further proved my point of how immature society is. #CarpeDiem. Catch me in traffic ..."

Since the Twitter spat, Johnson has reported receiving threatening messages.

"It's alarming how many death threats I'm receiving via replies," she tweeted Monday. "I encourage everyone, including Twitter to look through them. Not cool."

Brown, meanwhile, had encouraged Johnson to "Just ask Rihanna if she mad??????," which wouldn't appear to be the case. The same weekend that Johnson and Brown had their tweet-off, Rihanna shared a photo of a gentleman appearing to be Brown hanging out facedown on a bed, tattoos on full display.

The pair, who announced their renewed friendship in October and have collaborated together on a song for Rihanna's new album, "Unapologetic," were reportedly spotted in Berlin over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Who cares? Everyone follows these clowns like they are Gods, watching their every move, always having an opinion about their lives. What do we get out of this except frustration and contempt for someone we don't even know? The worst part is that this is actually on CNN.COM. This is supposed to be a forum to discuss things that actually matter, not a couple of people who don't give a damn about any of us or our opinions.

I am so sick of these two pieces of trash. One is a violent, talentless little punk and the other is a stupid woman who goes back to an animal who beat her. Brown should still be in jail for what he did to her. And anyone who defends these losers is most likely a loser as well.

You idiots blaming the comedian obviously did not read the twitter responses. Chris Brown was thedisgusting responses. Yes she posted a response, but she is a comedian and she made a comment no different then Lettermen, Jay Leno, or anyone else. He is an immature hot head. I applaud her for having him throw a tantrum to take his twitter page down. Maybe he will post less videos whining about his love triangles or how sad his terrible life is. I can't wait until he is in prison or in celbrity rehab in 5 years.

Who is Jenny Johnson & why does she so stuck on herself. I could care less about celebrities but it Rhianna is back with or hanging out with him.. why would the words of the Jenny person matter? Seems like she is using a domestic violence instance to make fame for herself which is just as bad...

I'm not sure why it became a thing to defend a man who not only beat the snot out of his girlfriend, but is proud that he did it and has the audacity to call people immature who call him out on his bulls*it. Jenny doesn't need this to get famous, people already know who she is. You on the other hand, think that Chris Brown needs you to stand up for him. He's not going to be your friend, he's not going to stand up for you. Why are you standing up for him to do wrong?

      November 28, 2012 at 8:16 pm | Report abuse |

Your comment is just completely ignorant. Seriously...she used a domestic violence incident to become facmous?? THANK GOD she is keeping it alive. I am so glad you are so quick to hammer this comedian , (by the way ANY and ALL comedians slam celebrities it's kind of what they do,) and to defend this guy in any manner is disgusting. Obviously you have no real insight to domestic abuse. I encourage you to go volunteer at your local domestic abuse shelter for women of abuse. You might get some intelligence there. Then come back and make a comment in this area. Watching a few SVU law and order episodes doesn't make for great judgement. It shocks me when I watch that show "what would you do?" and see so many people not do anything when confronted with injustice but reading these comments it is obvious that it is so normal to defend people that are wrong. Have some damn integrity.

This is what's wrong with women who continuously put themselves into a craptastic relationship with horrible / abusive people. 'But I want to help him...' You aren't helping. You aren't going to help. The person in question must A) want help B) be willing to admit they need help C) seek help on their own.

The team breezy "women" are as sick a Rihanna. It's something to be forgiven in a general sense, but not for a woman to go back to. And it should never be forgotten by the public or any woman he dates. He has the capacity for violence against women and no, it's no normal, and it's not usual. Men don't beat women as a matter of course. He has a problem. Maybe he's dealt with it, maybe he isn't. But the only way he will is if he is held accountable. And that includes being held accountable by Rihanna. He'll beat her again if she stays. Just watch.

And if people get should get punched in the face for talking trash about it, as you imply, why hasn't Chris Brown accepted pro wrestler CM Punk's challenge to a legit fight? Maybe because CM Punk is a man and Chris Brown prefers to hit women.

Last time I checked that's not the most mature age for a man. So if you have such high standards for adolecents then I feel sorry for your children. At a time when he was suppose to be learning about himself and developing into a man he was working as a full time entertainer, taking care of his family, exposed to all of the temptations of life while under the microscope of society. Give the kid a break. I for one am tired of all the negative energy pushed his way. He's a human being...NOT perfect. You should spend more time focusing on your own problems.

I'm not a Chris Brown fan but even I have to defend him here, it is quite clear that Jenny Johnson went out of her way to attack him. As I twitter user, I know to see another persons tweets you have to be following that person, and I get the sense that Jenny Johnson is no a fan of Mr Brown so why is she interested in what he tweets to his fans, if I don't like someone I am not interested in anything they have to tweet or anything else for that matter. It is clear that the first words of hostility fired came from Jenny Johnson. Chris Brown didn't attack her she attacked him and from then on the war of words between them became more bitter.. Therefore, the bully here was indeed Jenny Johnson because she should have just left him alone tweeting with his fans and all the above would have been avoided.

It is not about forgiving it is about leaving a person alone, I do not like Chris Brown therefore, I have nothing to do with him, and that was what Jenny Johnson didn't do. Mr Brown was tweeting his fans and they doing the same, Jenny Johnson was the bully in this case since she tweeted him. I do not like people who beat people up hense my dislike of both Chris Brown and Cheyl Cole who battered a bathroom attendant for not giving her a sweet, this did not warrent the beating this middleaged lady recieved, yet Cheryl is the nations sweetheart. I don't care if you are male or female no one deserves to be battered.

They all have much growing up to do. Don't take the words of these individuals seriously. They became wealthy very young and for the most part have heard nothing but praise. They have a convenient moment to moment view of what is right and wrong. That's why they jump ugly with anyone who fails to agree with everything they say and do. Anyone voicing a different view is immediately called racist, intolerant, or simply a hater. They are actually the least inclusive and most closed minded among us.

Good for Chris Brown for leaving twitter. For a network as large as this, why does their have to be so many "Ugly" and Vile people who take pure immaturity for all the world to read, just says what type of person you are. While no one person is perfect, they should perfect the fact that they are decent human beings, that don't need to act out their immaturity in such a way that it's beyond comprehension. Brown will never forget what he did to Rhianna, he lives with that day in day out. It's his to bear, and no one elses. Rhianna announced to the world she still loves him, so what does that make Rhianna. She's also twitting pictures that may or may not be Brown, is that right. Non of what people use twitter for when it comes to this type of behavior is acceptable. Brown made a wise move to close twitter, he'll do just fine without it, and the people who abuse it.

Point: I agree with you on everything except one point. I happen to believe that this was the first time something like that happened. If it had not been the first time, Rihanna would be out of there. This was the first time so she chose to forgive him. What makes you think I didn't see the photos, or understand that death could not have ocurred. No where have I said that I thought what he did was wrong. Perhaps because I am in my 50th decade I know a litte bit about forgiveness. I had to learn that in my life experience. We hare so quick to judge and to bear witness against our perpetrators but we perhaps for those who believe fall to our knees every night asking God to forgive us of our sins. My point is that Chris Brown has apologized and with all of this public attention I do believef that he has learned and come to understand. I believe that he witnessed this with his mother and stepfather, his mother denies that but I believe that it is true. Now however, he has learned a tremendous tremendous lesson. He is a young man. He made a mistake. I am simply saying. Jenny Johnson was wrong to say he has not appologized and he is worthless. Every human being has potential to evole and grow and I pray and hope for this young man he is taking the first steps towards human evolution as WE ALL are working towards. Including Jenny Johnson.

Case in point. I was just on Huffingtonpost and this is the headline: "CHRIS BRON'W VULGAR ATTACK ON JENNY JOHNSON, COMEDY WRITER, (NSFW TWEETS)(UPDATE). Preceisley my point on everything I wrote on this topic today. Why is it being presented that Chris Brown attacked Jenny Johnson when clearly SHE ATTACKED HIM!!!! Does she get a free pass to attack because she is a white woman and Chris Brown is a young black man who made a mistake? What makes Jenny Johnson right to attack at all when Chris Brown has said over and over again how sorry he is for MAKING A MISTAKE. This is precisely the point I was making about how blacks are presented in the media as opposed to whites. This type of stuff goes on all day every day and if any of you were people of color you would understand some things. I am an activist from way back, majored in political science and took media courses in college and have written in my career spannin over 30 years. I know a thing or two about race as it pertains to women of color, white women and the perceptions and how they play out in the media and I am not afraid to speak out about it. Nothing has changed in the game and the same old rules apply just as they did in the '50's 60's and seventies. Some real activiist will understand where I am coming from and know I am speaking truth and we just witnessed it on Huffingtonpost. No wonder Chris Brown is frustrated and to defend him in this instance is not sayng I approve of domestic violence and anyone who is trying to perpetrate that mentality on this board on this topic is just as bad as the media who continue to perpetrate these incorrect perceptions against people of color in the media. It really gets my goat. Not one word about Jenny Johnson being out of line. Arianna Huffington owned the Huffingtonpost and sold it for a lot of money but she still figures prominently in the running of the online paper. Truth in journalism use to be important but the same rules don't apply to people of color and the Huffingtonpost just reiterated my points here on CNN. I know I will be attacked as I have been thus far here, but I stand my ground and it doesn't have anything to do with feeling sorry for Chris Brown or thinking violence isn't wrong. Distortions in the media are wrong.

    • Point

What the Huffington Post has as their lead in line is wrong. You're right. I won't argue that fact with you. I agree with you on the fact that she was just as vile in her comments to him as he was to her. The lack of intelligence displayed by both parties is astounding. There are ways to prove a point without reverting to curse words that would require censoring on most news stations.

However, her lack of finesse in stating her opinion aside, it doesn't change the fact that many media outlets are expecting the general public to just forget the fact that this young man made a "youthful mistake" . Did you see the pictures? Did you get a good look at how he hit her, where he hit her? Do you know how easy it is to cause a concussion with a blow to the head? How that a simple injury to the head can quickly turn into death due to swelling, aneurysm, or a host of other medical problems? Have you taken a second to think that he was comfortable enough with the idea of hitting her that he would do it in a public parked car, which means this was not his first time treating her like his own personal heavy bag? It is good fortune we aren't sitting here talking about her death.

It wasn't one mistake, or one bad choice, this was just the first time he got caught doing it.

Jenny Johnson is a hysterical genius. If Chris Brown can't handle the truth then he shouldn't be on a public forum such as twitter. He's gone at Jenny Johnson plenty of times. Jenny is just saying what most people are dying to say, yet don't have the guts. He's an abusive moron and twitter allows anyone to speak their mind. To the poster who stated that white women assume the rest of the world will have the same views as them, I can't say that this is categorical true. However, I would think the belief that beating ones significant other in such a fashion that they require hospital care is wrong should reach past any color. You are right, it is her choice to forgive him. I could not do it, and I don't know many that could. But it doesn't mean that people must support these two individuals, spend their personal money on their music, or products they are paid to endorse. I don't support any person who commits this sort of violence against someone they claim to love. And if the vitriol between the two "celebrities" on twitter caused him to close down one of his public platforms, then good job. The last thing we need is another media example of how abusers can change and everyone deserves a second chance.

Lydia, and as far as my comment about Johnson being white, because it matters. How dare she even feel that she can attack Brown publicly and in print and make misleading comments and then call him names. I have no dog in this race. I am not a fan of either Rihanna's and/or Chris Brown, but he has apologized and apologized and no doubt to whom it should matter...RIHANNA. They both had spoken on this issue ad nasuem and how Johnson missed that and then wrote publicly that Brown was not contrite or did not feel bad about his actions is ridiculous. And I was not wrong Johnson is a white woman and there is a lot to be said about that. You need to understand the voluminous differences in how white and black women perceive things and there is a difference. White women feel their issues are universial and we as women should feel the same way they do about everything. I as a black woman totally disagrees with Johnson's position on Chris Brown and she is WRONG. It is wrong to condemn someone when they have apologized and showed contrition. I dissagreed with Johnson and still do period. And am unapologetic in my thinking.

White women & black women think differently about domestic violence? What freakin' planet do you live on? Why, do white women & black women appreciate a violent beating in a different manner? When a person gets the heck beaten out of them, it doesn't matter what color their skin is. It is just plain wrong. If Rihanna has accepted his apology, then that's on her. We, on the other hand, don't have to accept the violence that he exhibited. His actions will speak for him, and we will be watching.

Fascinating how white American males bash & disappear their females ALL the time; but bet that this witch would not go after America's white males, who are maybe just behind the maniac muslims in assaulting their females. lol

Brown's error here is in publicly contending with this interfering witch who should be attending to her family business, if she has a life; there could be no victory for him across cyberspace.

Lydia, I was making a specific point. It has a LOT to do with race and yet it is first and foremost a domestic issue, I don't dissagree with you. I also agree with you that violence whether it is against a man, women or child is wrong and again I agree with you it matters not whether the perpetrator is black, blue or green. The point I was making in case you missed something was the comparisome between Chris Brown and Sean Penn. Race matters very much in hollywood and how people are presented and treated in the media. I do not have to belittle myself by calling you names, I am far more intelligent than that. Race plays a very big role in presentation in the media. Perception is everything. Differences in terms of presentation are based on racial terms all day every day. All Media outlets are guilty of this practice, If you don't understand that, then do some credible research. Yes Chris Brown did a terrible deed and made a terrible mistake. Yet Sean Penn did the same thing repeatedly to Madonna and you never ever heard anything near to what and how it was presented with Chris Brown and the way people reacted to Sean's actions was completely different. Perhaps if you took some classes on this issue you would understand where I was coming from. Try not to belittle your self by attacking someone through name calling the way I was raised that is just as bad as beating someone up and it shows little intelligence. The pen is mighter than the sword and you don't need to call names to make your point. Peace out!

Itaia..use some common sense and stop playing the race card..Penn beat Madonna decades ago before Twitter, facebook and youtube where everything you said and did was instantaneous played over and over again...and he recently (within the last ten years beat Rihanna)..The same media that made him, broke him.

@erivera63 No the bottom line is that you don't understand what really happened here. She has been doing this for the better part of a year. He was never responded until today. There's maturity then there's allowing yourself to be basically cyber-bullied. When does it end? He is a human being. Nobody deserves this day in and day out. he was 19 when this happened he is now 23. Meaning this has been happening to him for basically 4 yrs now. It has to stop! People are basically torturing him for fun now. Its ridiculous. She go exactly what she deserved. She wasn't even involved in this situation. She's an instigator, a parasite basically. Honestly, if she has said what she said in public...having never met Brown, if he had lost it I wouldn't be mad at all at him. You don't even know him to judge him or insult him in that way. Only Rhianna and people close to them have the right to say anything about this issue now. Its water under the bridge. People need to move on.

Johnson was out of line here. Brown has apologized so many times it is ridiculous. It is not Jenny Johnson's business. If Rihanna has forgiven Brown then just let it be. Let it be. Sometimes people do stumble and stumble badly. Chris Brown stumbled badly and I hope and pray he has learned from his mistakes. However, I do not agree with these white women who think they own the world and can dictate policy and their own beliefs to other people, being unforgiving being one of them. If Jenny Johnson wants to condemn and not forgive when someone makes a mistake, to each his own. I am so sick of hearing people bash a 20+ something year old because he messed up badly. I am not a fan of Chris Brown. His reactions to how people react to him is less then desireable. IF he showed humilty concerning this topic then he could help turn the tide, but this infantile explosions of his doesn't help any. But Johnson was wrong to engage him and to be judgemental. Let he and Rihanna be and let's go on with our own lives.

Hey Italia, what the F* does it have to do with anything that Johnson is white? Too bad you feel the need to apologize for every black man out there. As a WOMAN of any color, I don't go around apologizing for any man, BLACK or WHITE who feels the need to PUMMEL a woman's face in. Apologies just don't do it for me. What you gonna say when he does it again FOOL? Men like that don't change you dumb a** fool. Maybe they will hide it for a bit, but the truth will come out. This ain't a race issue, it's a domestic violence issue. That is COLORLESS.

CHRIS BROWN DOES NOT OWE JOHNSON AN APOLOGY!!! She was not his victim she was not harmed in anyway by his actions. PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES AND THEY PAY FOR THEM! They should not be tried and convicted over and over again until YOU decide they’ve been punished enough! Oh and here's a news flash, people can change and they do otherwise your mother would have thrown you out as a baby with your bath water.

Excellent point Alicia. Chris Brown is a young black man and Sean Penn, (whom I despise) is a white movie star who thinks he is all of that. Sean Penn never got the vitrol that Chris Brown has received and he was much older than Chris Brown when he attacked Madonna. Sean Penn is revered in some circles and you NEVER hear the vitrol that has been perpetrated on Chris Brown and Sean Penn was even chosen to present Madonna with an award and people thought is was soooooooooooooooo endearing, but they continue to harrass Brown. Sean Penn is still as worthless as he was before and so full of himself it is ridiculous and yet he remains a hero to many. What say you Ms. Jenny Johnson regarding Sean Penn!!!!! And there many other Sean Penn's in the public eye who are white and ya don't hear a word agin em! Peace out!

Oh please..stop playing the race card..Penn beat Madonna close to 30 years ago..that's why people have moved on, not because they are white..there was outrage back then too, but there wasn't twitter, youtube and facebook to aggravate the situation over and over and over again..It was in the paper a few times and that was it. Chris Brown is a target of hate because he BEAT UP a woman. Just because the girl he hit seems to not care doesn't mean others have to act like it's okay. And if those who feel like he should still get called out for it take to social media, so be it. His fan-base (while I'm sure there are exceptions) have proven to be as low-brow as he is with threats of violence.

The comedian didn't threaten violence. She called him out for what she thinks he is. If he doesn't like it, I guess he shouldn't be a public figure – particularly one who commits acts of violence.

It was the police who released the photos to the media. No woman I know would publicize something like that. It was an invasion of Rihanna's privacy on all and so many levels.
