Annie and Auggie's big moment on 'Covert Affairs'[Editor's Note: This post contains spoilers for the November 20 episode of USA's "Covert Affairs."] Tuesday night's "Covert Affairs" season finale finished off the strongest year yet for this addictive show. After several episodes in a row where Annie had to be rescued by (a difficult to trust) Eyal, the tables were turned as he was captured by Khalid. She took some major risks in order to facilitate his rescue. Eyal said his final goodbye of the season to Annie, but they will meet again soon, I have no doubt.
We got to see Annie at her best this week, snooping around the American embassy in Amsterdam where she sought shelter from Khalid's men earlier in the episode. And when she confronted Khalid at his home, she gave him - as she would later tell Henry Wilcox - just enough information so that he and his father would likely kill each other. At the same time, you have to tip your hat to Auggie, who achieved almost superhuman levels of awesome spy work this week. Fresh out of Iraq, he ended up surprising Annie in her room at the embassy. (Why? Because she called. How? He's Auggie.) Then, as they say, he knew a guy in Amsterdam who came in handy. Like any good spy, he knows someone just about everywhere. Oh yes, about Henry Wilcox - he became a free man just in time to attend a CIA memorial service for his son Jai, whom we lost in the season premiere. Henry and Arthur continued their verbal jousting, even at the service, and he mysteriously invited Annie to the very restaurant where Jai lost his life. She refused to turn her back on Arthur and Joan by working with him, but then she looked at a file he gave her. Immediately, she said, "I'm in." What's in that file? That's for the writers to know and us to find out. However, this finale tied up one big loose thread we've been waiting on. Auggie invited Annie to dinner so they could have that "talk" he kept mentioning. Instead, Auggie showed up at her house a few days early with the familiar "Hey Walker, you home?" He just couldn't wait for that talk, but there wasn't a lot of actual talking involved. That sound you heard Tuesday night was all the Annie/Auggie 'shippers cheering as they got what they wanted. Annie told Auggie she was glad they could have that talk, and then went right back to kissing him. How's that for a season-ender? Where do you think Annie and Auggie should go from here? What do you think is in that file? Share your thoughts on video or post a comment. |

Covert Fan Wow, lookng forward to the new season. Love this show- all the character story lines. Annie and Auggie – they may have 1 night – or a few- not sure how the season will take us– Annie has the best taste in men, Ben, Eyal, Simon- and Auggie, Was hoping for annie nd simon to make it- such a love story like her and Bens story== Not sure how Annie nd Auggie can have a relationship but it will be good to see how they mix love and work – He is her true love I think – however, they have more than a lov story in their characters- want to see her happy – Best show on TV, looking forward to summer 2013 season
We love and admire Daniel Gosss!
told ya she ain't that bright. good work.
will have their time....its a great show...i try to watch as much as i can
–
doesn't have much of a choice it will cost him millions to divorce this one.
its hard to believe bonjovi sleeps with his wife....he's cheated on her so many time i thought he would have left her by now
It's hard to believe that Christopher also played Ugly Betty's nerdy boyfriend. I think the love interest is right, but I also think that Annie's sense of duty (in other words, her sleeping with the enemy) is going to be something that Augie's character's ego and hopeless romantic side cannot accept.)
I wanted Annie to be with Eyal, not Auggie.
Auggie needs to get his eyes fixed in the show.
I want to know what was in the file that caused Annie to believe in Wilcox so quickly.
their s*x would blow each others minds away for sure...i can tell these things.
as soon as they are ready.
I would drink Joans bathwater just because she sat in it.
they deserve the chance–hope they figure it out–good show.
It was nice ending it was way too long overdue. Cant wait to see them enjoy this relationship. I hope they get that chance. A really cool season. All the actors are good on this show.
i know that from watching them all the time......
there is heat and curiousity between them -
Hate the very forced Annie/Auggie relationship. They have absolutely NO chemistry. No matter what the Producers keep trying to tell us.
Perhaps you should check out the Annie/Eyal Shippers to be fair. http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/eyal
I agree, there is no chemistry between them. They are best friends but I never ever thought they should or would be lovers. Love the show and all of its characters. Love Annie, Love Auggie. But that relationship has to go.
How about NO...

I love Annie and Auggie. I am excited about the progression of these two characters. They are the reason I continue to watch every week. I just hate that I have to wait until the summer to see what happens. That is way too long to wait.
the nucky character is on this show too?
All I can say is that this show is AWESOME! The Characters, story line, plot’s, etc. The Sopranos live on, in Boardwalk Empire! Does anyone else think that Nucky will Get Chalky and Richard to assist him in taking out Gyp? Maybe Capone/Torrio will help as well? As much as I love that these real historical characters, it kind of gives away who will stay and who will go. Obviously Nucky (the Tony Soprano of the show) isn’t going to be going away any time soon. Not to mention some of the others who historically move on to bigger and brighter (prosperous) careers. But it sure is fun to watch! How about my man Mr. Harrow, finally getting some love!
