While you were working ...

Today's news you might've missed:

  • Louis C.K. is making us wait for more "Louie," but not for more Louis - he has a new hour-long comedy special in the works with HBO that should arrive in 2013. [CinemaBlend]
  • Barbara Walters was looking forward to talking to Lindsay Lohan, apparently. On "The View" Monday, Walters moped a bit (passive aggresively) about Lohan pulling out of her "20/20" interview and heading for Leno instead. "If they'd said to me, 'You know, Barbara, she isn't up to the kinds of questions that you might ask,'" Walters told her "View" co-hosts, "I wouldn't feel quite as disappointed as I do today." [TMZ]
  • "America's Best Dance Crew" has danced its way right into cancellation. [EW]
  • If your ideal New Year's Eve involves a mashup between Coldplay and Jay-Z, you should consider getting something like the real thing. The two acts are teaming up for an NYE show at Brooklyn's Barclays Center this year. [LAT]
  • We've heard that Justin Bieber will perform Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me A River" while out on a tour from time to time, but busting out an acoustic version while rumors persist that he and Selena Gomez have broken up isn't exactly subtle. [HuffPo]

How Anne Hathaway lost 25 pounds for 'Les Mis'

As she celebrates her 30th birthday Monday, Anne Hathaway's feeling pretty satisfied.

She may be 25 pounds lighter and without a cascading mane - with hair and body fat being two things she shed for her role in Tom Hooper's "Les Misérables" - but she's married her "true love," Adam Shulman, and is set to premiere Christmas Day in the role of her dreams with "Les Mis."

'Boardwalk Empire': Dazed and confused

[Editor's Note: This post contains spoilers for the November 11 episode of HBO's "Boardwalk Empire."]

We have three episodes left in this season, and if Sunday's “The Milkmaid’s Lot” is any indication, it looks like Nucky Thompson will be headed into battle alone.

I blame Billie Kent.

‘Homeland’: A cell with a view

[Editor's Note: This post contains spoilers for the November 11 episode of Showtime's "Homeland."]

Sunday's episode revealed that Brody's role on Abu Nazir's team is only going to get larger from here, as Roya told Brody during his morning jog.

Brody - sweaty but stylish in a moisture-wicking Lululemon tee - was abruptly informed that things were moving fast but details were not possible.
