Overheard: Carrie Fisher would join new 'Star Wars'

If your dream outcome from Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm would be to see Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher back in their "Star Wars" roles, keep your fingers crossed.

A "highly placed source" has hinted to Entertainment Weekly that Ford's "open" to the idea of returning to his Han Solo character, and Fisher told a TMZ photographer (albeit pretty unenthusiastically) that she was interested in doing the sequel as well.

When asked whether she would be in a future "Star Wars" film at Disney's request, Fisher gave a definite "yes." Her response caught the photographer a little off guard, and she responded, "Wouldn't you?"

At the moment, Disney has "Star Wars: Episode 7 " in early development, with the hope to see it arrive in theaters in 2015. As for how Fisher, Ford and Hamill could pick up the story in the new proposed trilogy, EW mused that Disney could use the original three to pass off the franchise to a new generation.

What do you think? Good idea for the original stars to return, or would that be a risky move on Disney's part?

An intriguing discussion is definitely worth comment. I believe that you should publish more about this subject, it might not be a taboo matter but typically people do not discuss these subjects. To the next! Kind regards!!

I guess you're not very old. You'll find that the older you get – the less you care about things like this. Relax. 🙂

It would be awesome, because if Luke and Leah each had kids(not together obviously, they are twins in the movies) in the future, the would hopefully inherit the force inside Luke and Leah(to those who don't know Leah also has some powers of the force) and the next set of Jedi or Sith would incredibly awesome. Thins of it 1 of Luke or Leah's kids become a jedi and another one becomes a sith, and since twins usually run in families what if a set of twin comes from Luke or Leah and one is a jedi and the other a sith. I can see it already. So excited for this franchise to get new life!
