Jay-Z has '99 Problems' but Mitt isn't one

Jay-Z's "99 Problems" has gotten an Election Day remix.

The rapper joined Bruce Springsteen at President Obama's election rally in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday, and at first had a bunch of songs planned, as he told the crowd of about 15,000.

"Then they told me no colorful language, so I brought two songs," he said. "I changed this one up, I have to do it, I'm sorry. I didn't get clearance from the Secret Service, so if they come tackle me on here, y'all can save me."

And with that, Jay, who had us all rhyming about how we had "99 problems but a b**** ain't one" when his "Black Album" arrived in 2003, offered a line of the new version: "If you having world problems I feel bad for you, son. I got 99 problems, but Mitt ain't one."

Jay and his wife, Beyonce, have both been avid supporters of Obama, and as the 42-year-old hip-hop mogul was performing in Ohio, Beyonce was busy writing a public note of support for the president.

On her website, Bey told Obama that he inspires "all of us to give more of ourselves," and called him "the leader to take us from where we are to where we need to be."

The president, she added in closing, is "the reason my daughter and nephew will grow up knowing that they can truly be anything they want to be."

C'mon now are you guys really upset with Jay-Z and his wife or mad because your guy lost? Your rude comments about them aren't going to make them lose any sleep and they def aren't gonna lose any money over it. In fact if anything, it might fuel him to come out with a new victory rap for Obama. You have the right to vote for your candidate but leave those folks alone and quit trying to put them up in mix when they didn't personally create our Country's problems and aren't responsible to fix them. They have a right to vote and support whatever candidate they so chose, just like we do. I am certainly not rich and I could care less if they are trillionares someday, they just had a baby and are probably enjoying a nice family life so quit hating, fix your own personal issues and let the President take care of the rest as he or she sees fit! Also, if you are going to crack down on them for donating a large amount of money to a Presidential candidate then you are essentially saying it shouldn't be allowed from any celebrity, billionare, etc. right? Either that or you are mad that Romney lost, you are racist, or both. Keep it real and focus on reality.

  21. Jay-Z is relevant???

Stick to rapping. Let's face it, if Obama was white and Mitt was black Jay-Z would be voting for Mitt. Be a colorblind voter.

Jay-Z's music hasn't been good since the Black Album. Maybe even before that... he's been cranking out stinkers recently.

Jay-Z is a loser! While people in his burrough (and others) needed assistance he bought a generator for his address to keep it going and his neighbors got to enjoy it in uptown NYC. Meanwhile back at the ranch/downtown, neither the loser nor his wife bought so much as a few generators, food and supplies and personally deliver it to their fellow New Yorkers. And soon they'll rely on those they didn't help to boost their record sales. As a matter of fact the majority of entertainers with money who live in New York did nothing! Jay-Z/Beyonce....Capital L for Losers on behalf of those you pimped in NYC for the almight dollar! You wannt get political start with your home town and give back!!!!

If the debt doesn't scare you enough – how about this quote from the Aug '12 CBO Budget and Economic Outlook.
Page 35 – 36 – They compare the future of our economy if the mandatory cuts and tax rates that are set to expire (the fiscal cliff) are left as is (the current law), or changed (more deficit spending).

"...rising deficits under that scenario (not going over the fiscal cliff) would lead to larger negative effects on GDP and GNP and to larger increases in interest rates relative to rates under current law (the fiscal cliff). Ultimately, the policies assumed in the alternative fiscal scenario would lead to federal debt that would be unsustainable both from an economic and from a budgetary perspective."

Do you people know what that means? It means our government will go bankrupt if we continue with deficit spending.

Some of the republicans sure know how to spend us into oblivion, George W Bush gave 15 billion to Africa to help w/ AIDS research, and in 8 years he took a surplus and wrecked it, leaving us this mess that Obama has to try fix. The repubs will also pour more money into keeping our war on terror going, wars are big money to people like Bush and Cheney.

Bush wrecked the surplus? How much did he and his Republican Congress add to the debt? Have you looked it up?

I'll save you some time. $2.8T was added from Jan 2001 – Jan 2007. That's with two wars going on...

Democrats took congress in Jan 2007, remember? And who writes the checks, Congress or the President? If you say the President, you need a lesson in government.

Since Democrats took Congress in Jan 2007, $7.6T has been added to the debt. They've doubled what we all owe. Thanks a lot.

All you have to do is go to the CBO website to verify these numbers...

Once you've realized your mistake in blaming Bush for "wrecking the surplus" and have figured out that it was the Democrats that blew up the spending, maybe you'll become an educated voter.

What was the last "Bush" deficit (with the Dem Congress)? $438B...

What was the deficit in Obama's FIRST year? $1.4T (that's $1,400B for the math challenged here).

Now, WHO was it that exploded the debt? Do tell...

    @CharlesKayeMBA – Agreed

It's a bit pathetic that the Obama campaign has had to resort to celebrity appearances and performances to draw in support. I voted early this morning, and my decision couldn't have been easier. I look back at all the so called "accomplishments" of the Obama administration and see that they aren't accomplishments at all, just broken promises from a bitter president. He has failed the American people and does not deserve a second term, and I'm confident that the people will express that same view via the polls.

Jsy Z's problems are going to be a lot worse if he ever has any kids and they are stuck with the $20T of debt Obama will hand them if he is re-elected.

It absolutely baffles me that Jay Z, among so many other people, refuse the see the history or Democrat politicians. They've never been conservative spenders. Every state they've run, every Democrat at the federal level has been overspending our kid's future earnings for over 40 years. I've watched this happen. I've also watched the Republican party give us budgets with surpluses, which Democrats give credit to Clinton for.

It's crazy. We are on the same road Greece and several other countries in the EU went down, yet people like Jay Z, refuse to accept that Democrats have a serious spending problem that is driving us toward bankruptcy and economic collapse.

The voters in Greece never thought their politicians would bankrupt their government. They never thought the money would run out, their credit rating would plummet and no one would lend them any more money. Many US voters are apparently thinking the same thing. What does it take for people to learn from the mistakes of other countries?

If the voters in the US are that dumb... If they refuse to learn that government overspending will destroy their economy, then there is no hope for the US. We might as well all start learning Chinese.
