How your favorite TV characters are votingWith the race between Mitt Romney and President Obama being neck-and-neck, even fictional characters have weighed in on the "who are you voting for?" conversation. While we're used to seeing political humor on shows like "Saturday Night Live" in an election year, the coverage of the road to November 6 has spilled over into lighthearted but timely plotlines on a number of TV sitcoms.

Sharon Osbourne opens up on double mastectomyOnce Sharon Osbourne learned she carries a gene that makes her predisposed to breast cancer, her next move to get a double mastectomy was a "no-brainer," "The Talk" co-host told Hello! magazine in its latest issue. Having faced colon cancer 10 years ago, the 60-year-old TV personality and wife to rocker Ozzy Osbourne said she "didn't want to live under that cloud."

‘Homeland’: ‘My eyes are open. How could they not be?’[Editor's Note: This post contains spoilers for the November 4 episode of "Homeland."] In last night’s episode, “A Gettysburg Address,” Roya had a secret meeting with a man at an outdoor D.C. plaza. Because the mystery man was wearing sunglasses, the CIA’s facial recognition software couldn't positively identify him. Virgil and Max were on the scene with their fancy audio equipment, but Roya’s conversation couldn't be picked up because the fountain in the plaza made it sound “like Niagara Falls.” When the meeting ended, Virgil followed the man but lost him on the Metro. Carrie figured that their only hope was to bring Brody in to try and ID the man.

Baby on the way for Kristen Bell, Dax ShepardEngaged pair Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are expanding their family. A rep for 32-year-old Bell tells CNN that the couple are expecting their first child in late spring. (How we wish they taped their reaction when they found out, as we're sure it topped Bell's reaction to a sloth run-in on her birthday.) |
