R. Patz on his 'ridiculous' sex scene with K. StewRobert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have both shouldered criticism for their performances in the "Twilight Saga" franchise, but at least Pattinson has a sense of humor about it. In a (quite endearing, if we do say so ourselves) interview with Australia's "The Kyle and Jackie O Show," the 26-year-old actor admitted that he'll cringe when looking back at some of his scenes in the first "Twilight" movie.
When thinking of what some of his favorite scenes have been, Pattinson mentioned that there's been a few, such as the moment when Stewart's Bella walks past his vampire character Edward in the parking lot during the first film. "Whenever I see it, I'm making the most ridiculous facial expressions. I was so serious when I was doing it, and I look at it now and I'm like, 'Oh my God, like, you were on another planet.' ... It looks like she's farting as she walks past. It's terrible." And remember, that's one of his favorite scenes. The more challenging - or, in Pattinson's words, "ridiculous" - scenes include the delivery scene in the first half of "Breaking Dawn," and his sex scene with Stewart in the second "Breaking Dawn" film slated for November. "It's just 'cause you're kind of shooting for this to be PG-13, so it was kind of trying to think of inventive ways to make something sexy," he said. "It also can't be just a normal sex scene, it's supposed to be about, like, the greatest vampire sex you've ever had, so a lot of it was just close-ups of me and Kristen's faces. But there was no one else there, so it was trying to give a face of ecstasy in a tight frame ... we were just sitting there by ourselves. The cameraman was laughing at this." It doesn't sound like filming those scenes reduced him to tears, though. For that, it'd take a viewing of "Marley & Me." "I was so surprised, I was like, devastated," he said of the film, which made him cry. "It was absolutely awful. I watched it at three o'clock in the morning on one of the press tours for one of these films ... Literally, I never want to see it again. It's horrible. It's like looking at war footage, or something. ... I can't take it. I hate people, but I love dogs." i may hate twilight, but r patz is pretty fun to read about. my favorite quote though i think was around the first movie "a 117-year-old virgin clearly has issues" (or something like that). so while i hate Edward, R Patz makes me laugh 🙂
Agreed! Twilight and KStew were bad decisions, but he seems like a decent bloke. 🙂
