Watch: Chloë Moretz in 'Carrie' teaserThe teaser trailer for 2013's "Carrie" makes great use of a familiar image from the original 1976 film, but actress Chloë Moretz says one shouldn't mistake this for a straight remake. As the 15-year-old told CNN contributor Jennifer Vineyard at New York Comic-Con, director Kimberly Peirce is offering "a retelling of the book by Stephen King, and it hasn't been told this way before." Previously adapted in 1976 by Brian De Palma, the story follows telekinetic and social outcast Carrie, who brings about destruction on her prom night. Sissy Spacek portrayed the teen in De Palma's classic, and Piper Laurie starred as Carrie's abusive mother. Next March, it'll be Moretz and Julianne Moore filling those roles. Although we don't see Moore in the teaser trailer, we do hear voiceovers discussing the mother and daughter as the camera pans over a street engulfed in flames. "This was always such a peaceful town," says one, while another voice follows: "Her mother was a fanatic. I don't know how she lived with it." And then, as the camera creeps up on a blood-soaked Carrie, "There's something no one seems to understand. ... She's just a girl." What do you think of the teaser? "Carrie" will arrive in theaters March 15, 2013. |

As the 15-year-old told CNN contributor Jennifer Vineyard at New York Comic-Con, director Kimberly Peirce is offering "a retelling of the book by Stephen King, and it hasn't been told this way before." Really??? You mean the way the AUTHOR WROTE IT??? How can they justify this drivel? Grrrrr! Enough remakes already! Get some original ideas!
your the first person i'll be thinking of while i will be doing something over and over again later.
with the hunk i'm seeing later....boo hoo 72...
no time.
The original Sissy Spacek version was so good I took a half dozen co-workers to see it during working hours. And what a performance by Piper Laurie! Wow! Don't see anything in the remake trailer that inspires me to see it.
She is going to be hot when she gets older. I love her upper lip sneer.

wat r u talking about remaking movies nobody has remade this movie retard!! BAMM!
This movie is a remake....this will be the 3rd. Carrie with Sissy spacek, Then it was Carrie: The Rage, and now little Chloe Moretz.
It's The Rage: Carrie 2.
It's not a remake of the other Carries. The girl's name isn't even Carrie in that movie. It's something else and it's an entirely different setting and back story though the sentiments are the same.
yea and i dont care if she was a remake i wasnt so when i say shes ugly its my opion not yours you u stop shooting ur mouth off
listen eatme nobody is shooting their mouth off but u
she is a fat pest
i have to agree with blah shes the uglyest person on earth..lol
she is soooooo UGLYYYYYYYYYYYYY i have to agree w/ blah
sound off..shes ugly..sound off and faat
chloe is not anywhere close to ugly or fat. she is a pretty good actress if you've seen "let me in". i myself am not to crazy about remakes, and carrie was remade in 2002 as a made-for-tv remake but lets see what chloe can bring to it before you shoot your mouth off.
that girl is ugly! espesilly with blood..shes not a good actress...
She's still in her awkward teen phase. Give her a few more years and she'll be yank material. Trust me, I'm a professional yanker.
ANOTHER REMAKE from Hollywood?!?!?

Looks like a great movie! I cannot wait to see it. Carrie is going to be released on March 13, 2013. I actually saw the trailer at http://www.Carrie-remake.com
could you be any more transparent?
She is just 15 years old. I'm not afraid of her.
AND WHAT R U 5 ??? NO ONE CARES WHO UR SCARED OF!!
This will be a great movie. I think it will stand on its own without being held to the scrutiny of being a remake. It would still be nice to see an original idea come out of Hollywood sometime this year though.
