The last time Ben Affleck played both film director and star, it was for 2010's acclaimed crime drama "The Town." This weekend, Affleck seems poised to pull off success again with political thriller "Argo."

The movie, about a CIA "exfiltration" specialist's plan to rescue six Americans during the Iranian revolution, earned high critical praise on the film festival circuit, and starting Friday moviegoers will get to see it for themselves.
