'Mrs. Bieber' Avalanna Routh dies at age 6

Avalanna Routh, a brave 6-year-old whose adoration of pop star Justin Bieber earned her the nickname "Mrs. Bieber," has lost her fight against cancer.

"Our darling Avalanna went to Heaven this morning. Oh Avalanna, the brightest star - you took our hearts with you, our greatest Love," was posted to her Twitter account early Wednesday.

Routh had a rare, aggressive form of brain cancer called AT/RT, which was explained during the "Stand Up To Cancer" benefit in September:

As Routh sought treatment at a Boston facility last year, the nurses there decided to throw the Bieber fan a pretend wedding. She tied the knot with a cutout of the 18-year-old singer, and she soon had the chance to meet her "husband" in person.

Bieber flew Routh and her parents to New York in February for a pre-Valentine's Day date that included board games and cupcakes. At the time, Bieber told his followers on Twitter that he was hanging out with "a special little girl, #MrsBieber."

Learning of Routh's passing on Wednesday, Bieber tweeted, "just got the worst news ever. one of the greatest spirits i have ever known is gone. please pray for her family and for her. RIP Avalanna. i love you."

He later added that he missed Routh, and shared a photo:

You're really going to compare a forty seven year old woman who has had MORE than a chance to live her life, compared to a six year old girl who never got the chance? You should be ashamed of yourself. I don't even like Bieber and I am disgusted by you.

I had a very hard case and you were my last hope after I went through your real website (www.prophetofgoddess.com). I had wasted loads of money with other spell casters but never had results..... I decided to use your most powerful Binding spell and it was the best investment I ever made. I am still surprised how you did what you did after two days I contacted you on (prophetofgoddess@yahoo.com), I will forever be grateful for what you did for me, right now we are living happily as never before. Your powers are real and you can consider me a client for life.

The bible teaches that there is an age of accountability where an adult can understand sin. In the Old Test all the people over the age of 19 died in the wilderness. Those younger were not held accountable even though they had been alive when the children of Isreal had sinned. It makes me sick that someone claiming to be a Christian would take this opportunity to callously damn a little girl. You obviously do not know the God of the Bible and in my opinion do not represent Jesus well at all. People who are changed by Jesus end up treating others like he did, with love and compassion. Those who have experience great forgiveness are able to give great love. Maybe you dont even understand how much you have to be forgiven for.
My heart goes out to this little girls family who now have to cope with life without her vivacious, fighting spirit. I'm praying for them and for all the people whose lives will be forever changed by her loss...She is most certainly in heaven you arrogant s.o.b. 🙂

In 2 Samuel 12:23 King David's comments about the death of his baby boy with Bathsheba by saying, "I will go to him, but he will not return to me" This verse is one of the paramount verses in the scriptures that indicate that children and babies go to heaven when they die. There are other scriptures that testify to the mercy of God concerning his judgments. Ironically, many of them written by David himself, both before and after this event in his life.
Try reading the Bible for yourself. Start with the words in red..

      What?
We are worried about where her soul goes?
We do not pile up treasures on earth (material things, times you went to church, being baptized, being a good person) for being with god!
Get a life! People loved her and she loved BACK! That is certainly enough for me! This isn't a theology debate...we are celebrating her life!

I think what you are searching for is the fact that when you accept Christ as your Saviour, you have a change of heart. This change in your heart is brought about by the working of the Holy Spirit. How do you know that the Holy Spirit was not working in her heart? God can change hearts even until the last breath of life leaves your body. Children are loved by God as evidenced in scripture. We must come to Him like a child, with open heart, to accept the free gift of Grace. Avalanna lived a very difficult life with much grace as seen in the video. I have not doubt that she is in heaven. Prayers for the family during this difficult time.

I love everyone's responses to ucekrmanf, especially LSM, Jess Sayin, Mark and shelley. All Christians know that God is loving, holy, merciful, just, and gracious. Whatever He does is always right and good. All Christians that really know their religion also know that God does not punish those that are not yet at the age of accountability to accept or reject Christ. My Priest said we cannot for sure say that babies that die before being baptized go to Heaven, but since God is who is He is (which is Love), we can safely assume that they do.

I just watched the video of this little beautiful girl and my heart feels sad. I did read a few comments and some of them are not very nice. I know she is in heaven with Jesus and running and playing with all the little children who God calls home at a young age and we really don't get it but He has a plan for everyone to be called to our heavenly home in His time. Prayers to her family and may God comfort them in the days and months ahead. I think knowing that this little girl is in heaven will comfort their hearts. This is why we should value each day on this earth with family and friends. LOVE is the greatest gift of all.

It's sad. This child hadn't even had a chance to find her focus. I'm not even hating on Bieber but it's pretty sad that her major concerns and possibly reason for living/happiness was a pop-star and facebook (seemingly). At least she was happy though. Ignorance is bliss and is not necessarily always bad. Imagine someone like me dying... it would be complex and I probably wouldn't be happy. I feel for her parents and hope this disorder finds a cure.

We are talking about a little girl only 6 years of age. She had an innocent childhood crush on a popular pop star. This is oh so normal. I comments those around her who made a very special day for a child that had little hope of every growing up, falling in love, and marrying the person of her dream.

Cancer is a horrible, horrible enemy. Why have we not conquered it yet? What is taking our scientists and doctors so long? Have we not spent hundreds of $-billions to find a cure for cancer? Huh? So why is it still around? Why has it not yet been destroyed? Huh? Why?

Here's the thing; doctors HAVE conquered it, in a better way than chemotherapy. Did you know that if you bathe the cancerous area with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), it will kill cancer cells? Scientists and marketing companies don't want to market this, because there is no money for them, unlike the highly expensive chemotherapy, where it kills all cells, both good and bad, and leave you vulnerable to other diseases. And I'm not talking about some fancy high tech procedure involving chemically enhanced sodium bicarbonate. I am talking about baking soda that you can find in your grocery store, and use for many things. All the "cancer walks" and foundations that send money to cancer research are really wasting their time. No one has ever mentioned it, but I think it's going straight into their pockets, and their pretending to find a high tech cure. I'm sorry for my ranting, but hey, you stated something that I feel strongly about!

    • KP

Of course they know what causes it....carcinogens that mutate genes in your DNA and cause regular cells to proliferate like crazy and become malignant. Smoking, asbestos, certain chemicals all cause cancer. The reason there's no cure is because it is one of your own cells turning into an evil version of itself, so it's very hard to target something that your body recognizes as "self". There probably won't be a cure, money should go into research for pain alleviation for patients and identification of other carcinogens that we probably interact with on a daily basis to take a preventative step against cancer.

As a mom AND a cancer fighter, I can not even begin to imagine what this sweet little girls family must still be going through and will go through until their day of passing. Avalanna, your story has inspired all of cancer fighters and survivors I'm sure. You will definitely be missed!!! Everyone is looking at this all wrong...the only thing that makes this different from the Make A Wish Foundation is that it was the nurses doing something nice for a sweet little girl with brain cancer that had touched their hearts that got the whole thing started. The only reason it has blown up like it has is because Justin is so famous. The fact that he took time out for her I think is amazing! Justin, I have 4 daughters from ages 6 to 12 and you have captured their hearts, I could not imagine going through what her parents have with any of them! I think you are an awesome person for what you did for that little girl. You made a little girls dreams come true and I know she passed a happy girl. I have always loved your music, and I'm so glad to see that you haven't lost yourself in being famous. I know it's hard, but she is in a better place and you will see her again one day. I have little faith in the existence of god. I often wish that I did, and when I hear of the passing of a child I wish it the most. The pain her parents must surely feel seems hard to reconcile with the existence of a supreme being. However, if he does exist, the shortness of her life simply means she got to meet him sooner than most and, had to endure less of what is often an ugly world. While this can not be of much consolation to her parents I can only hope he does exist and, that they will know her laughter again.

I wonder why the gentiles are called the wild olive tree, is it not because there is no fear of GOD in their hearts? if jb did a good thing, its only a prevledge unto him,but give honour to whom honour is due. Is it not God that touches the heart of a mam to do good, however I don't believe jb did any good as he enticed the little girl with his music, these are the depths of satan doing something that seems good does not mean I'm good. this also reaches to the parents who did not teach the child in a way she should grow. Looking for happiness in jb was to nought but six years are enough to give hope to a child I believe God will hold them accountable this might be a premuture and something might have been done in the house of God you think cancer is too big for God. selah

You are a sick and horrible person, just like the vast majority of theists. If god is real then he is a murderer by every definition of the word. He murders children everyday. He stands by with a sick grin on his face as he watches child molesters rape their own children. He dangles food in front of starving children then pulls it from their grasp, boisterously laughing as the child falls to the dust and dies.

A very mean and rude comment. Giving Avalanna her last dying wish has nothing to do with their spiritual belief system. I think it's wonderful that Justin reached out to this little girl that had a major 'crush' on him and that her parents supported her until her last breath. You obviously don't have kids. Condolences to the family, thanks for being such wonderful parents, and Justin, thanks for making a dying girl's wish come true. You are truly a wonderful, caring young man. Don't ever lose that characteristic in all your fame.

Glad everyone is showing how much knowledge they have about the bible and so on but no one really cares honestly. This is about a beautiful and strong willed little girl and you people are arguing about religion and Justin Bieber? Really? Who cares if you liked Justin or not, he made Avalanna very happy and that is all that really matters. Jeez, real sad and pathetic that this forum has turned into arguing and about yourselves, makes me feel even more sorry for the family. Avalanna made my heart melt in that video, what a privelege it would have been to know her. At least she is no longer suffering now. RIP Avalanna.

Uh, that should be "Blacks HAVE Lowest IQ." You see, "has" is to be used ONLY in singular reference. [Singular = solo, alone, by one's self]. The word "have" is used when referring to a group of people; more than one; NOT alone.

And yes, I am Black. Proudly.

On a much more meaningful note: Kudos to Bieber for showing he cares. May Avalanna's parents and friends find comfort from those of us who are empathetic to their pain and loss...not the cowards who use such moments to bring additional pain for no apparent reason.

I'm not trying to be a grammar Nazi, I know I make more than my fair share of mistakes, but the lack of capitals, punctuation, spelling mistakes and typo's makes your post indecipherable to me.
If you are really trying to spread God's word, then please at least use spell check, because if I can't figure out what you are trying to say, how is someone with no biblical knowledge going to understand?
Unfortunately, from what I can discern from your posts you are only spreading a twisted and misinformed interpretation of scripture.

just one moment please. How can you give hapiness to a dying soul using the wrong remedy.Iknow it seems right what jb did but consider a fact we do not mind about the beginnigs of someone but what people die holding onto is what matters my major above all is that why do people always blame it all on God what do you mean by an innocent child so only guilty ones deserve it? again am i wrong if i say JESUS taking the place of jb would have been better ?if you the girl ws to have adored you on what things were you to yield him to yourself as if you have the abilityof all things or to JESUS? are we looking for the happiness of this world or the happiness of the world to come? how can you aproach the curse that is on this earth? does cancer sounds normal to you or we need a far much greater power than that our carnal minds have? are we to look at our past or rather look forward to where we are going? are we to wait for another case as this and still justify innocency of the dead? will i be untruthful to say these comments only last a while? if so is there not a hope ahead that i will carry your name in hope till we reach that golden dawn? are we not all sorowful though in diferent approaches? is this not matter of life and death? selah

I grieve at the death of yet another innocent child, and I am heartened to hear that so many, lo even the Biebster, cared for her and comforted her in her illness.

I will not weep for those negative commenters here who are pushing some hateful agenda that is truly incomprehensible to me. I will merely laugh to know that, for their callous inhumanity and self-righteous abuse of holy words, they will suffer horribly, in life and in eternity.

Mark 16vs 16 show that a person has to believe first inorder to be a part of the redemptive purpose and if you agree with me that she ws just a little girl then she was not mature enough to believe if cain would have died at a young age as this what would be your answer today.nothing can be further from the truth if GOD intended to save her then she would not die until she would come to a point of maturity, but i'm trying to tell you about the answer to all these problems for us who still live. Well thank you for providing references, but as Phil3:6 points out "a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ." A MAN not a little girl. These scriptures dealing with baptism and repentance are directed toward adults. And the scripture still holds that Jesus specifically and unconditionally gave the Kingdom to all little children children. Matthew 19:14 Mark 10:14 Luke 18:16

      Matt18:2-4
He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus calls us several times to be like little children in order to enter Heaven.

1st: Who are you to be calling other people idiots when you can't even spell the word "you" correctly. 2nd: According to Christianity, every one is born into sin. If you are a child and you haven't been baptized then you are technically going to hell. 3rd: No matter what religious belief, or lack thereof, it doesn't matter if you think this girl went to heaven or hell. It doesn't even matter that she met Justin Bieber. The only thing that matters is that another child has died of cancer. Forget Justin Bieber and forget arguing over religion for a bit. Shouldn't we be discussing why we haven't found a cure for this thing yet?

ConstantInsanity – I don't know where you learned about the tenets of Christianity, but you are absolutely and totally wrong. The Christian faith does not believe that a child must be baptized or face hell. Perhaps you are thinking of Catholicism and purgatory?

"dont forget that unless one is baptisd of water and of the Spirit he will not enter into the kingdon..."

That's a lie! No where in the Bible will you find that. In fact. Babtism has little to nothing to do with getting into Heaven.

      September 27, 2012 at 7:52 pm | Report abuse |
    • ConstantInsanity

Vad: I think that is a possibility. Don't get me wrong I do believe that people are trying to find a cure, but with all the money made off of treating it, there has to be some greedy people who would rather be in the business of treatment instead of cures. Besides, if a cancer wonder drug was to come out tomorrow they would jack up the price to a ridiculous amount.

Meg: It seems that as an Atheist I know more about your faith than you do. In the Abrahamic faiths you are born into sin. In Christianity you are born a sinner and will suffer in hell unless you believe in Jesus Christ. Seeing as how infants and toddlers cannot believe in Jesus until they are old enough to understand it, the parents have them baptized. "Peter replied, 'Each of you must turn from your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.' Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church–about three thousand in all.” Acts 2:38, 41

"they are ways that seems write unto a man but the ends thereof are the ways of death"
I do not understand your gibberish here. What are you saying?
You DO understand that there was nothing wrong or harmful involved in this at all, that it was all done to make a dying child happy?
Do you understand that? Do they have happiness, children, or mercy in your dimension?

"I know that jb did not give anything profitable to the girl but rather destruction."
He gave comfort, hope and happiness to a dying child. Profit was not a factor. If you see no good in this, I humbly suggest you present yourself before your lord for immediate judgment.

"what will it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose out his own soul yet the girl died hopeless for just a portion."
I am so glad that i do not know what you mean here. I can only assume that it is more bile that you are spewing on a child. I do not understand your hatred of children, or of happiness, or of comfort to the dying.

I pray for your distorted hate filled mind and heart. All hate is against God; you are no judge for God's law and obviously has never felt Gods love. Once you do you will see your hate and judgments are false and Godless. Step down from you soup box and drop to your knees pray for God’s forgiveness. Let God fill your heart with love and go show that love to the world.

There is no literal "hell fire and briimstone"..
The misrepresentation comes from the misunderstanding of the word "Gehenna" in the original writing of the bible..
Outside the city was a fire that burned constantly, called Gehenna. where things were tossed.. It was descriptive speech trying to impress on people that things would go in and never come out.. Trying to show people you will be gone forever if you sin.. Meaning forgotten..NO eternal life. NO coming back , just as things did not come back from Gehenna.
NO one is tossed into a burning fire to burn forever..
So stop trying to accuse God of being a torturer.. Thats a lie.

I did see her on the "Stand UpTo Cancer" bebefit on TV. She was an amazing child wiser beyond her years who lived each day with more positive thoughts than most healthy people. Enough about JB please. Respect this little girl's life that was far too breif and go hug your own children.

bram, you have spreading lies and confusion. You claim you are telling the truth back it up with proof.

The Bible says this about little children in Luke 18:16
"But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'"

Jesus himself said that little children are in the Kingdom of God. I certainly think that a 6yo girl qualifies.
She doesn't need to be baptized or accept Jesus, she died pure and innocent without sin or blemish just because she was still an innocent child.

The Bible is the answer to all ignorance. God is not responsible. Adam and Eve chose to sin and we inherited their sin. Isaiah 25:8 tells what Jehovah God is going to do to death and ps. 37:29 tells us where we are Really going to live. Take a look at Rev. 21:3,4 which will bring you and many others encouragement concerning this matter.

Concerned, sorry but I have to disagree with you. We did not inherit Adam's or anyone's sin. Our sin comes from our actions and thoughts not our ancestors. Original sin is a man made concept.

      In Ezekiel 18:20
"The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him."

Yes it is wrong to say that the little girl became an angel because in Christian theology humans don't become angels. We can however hope that a young girl, who died before the age of reason, was brought into God's Kingdom. Also, we don't know if she was baptized or a Christian. Yes, perhaps she showed too much devotion to Justin Bieber, but can any of us say we never put undue attention on something of this world?

People pray for strength...the very act of prayer gives them strength to get through difficult situations. It's sort of a self fulfilling kind of thing. The concept is that God is in control of the big picture. God is about life. God is not about death. God wouldn't choose to have anyone die. We're given free will to make choices. I would admit that she died becasue of God's inaction. God can always prevent such a thing -But God didn't cause her death. God may use the situation for something positive but didn't create the situation. I'm sure that sounds twisted or simplistic. It'salways hard to understand from our point of view.

Well one thing I can say about you Daniel, you obviously must believe God is because you said and I quote "he really listens." This tells me you believe in God and there is still hope for you. People who say there is no God, really believe He is because they will use God's name in swear words and even call on him in emotional times. I know you say phrases like, "oh my God!" and "Jesus Christ, what the he–" oh yeah, we know you'll do. So I appreciate the fact that you know how to call His name. Gotcha!

You morons make our beliefs seem heartless and cold. I may have my doubts about the afterlife, but I gag at atheists who spew anti-belief bigotry just as much as someone telling me they'll pray for my eternal soul. Neither side has any business doing either.

Without God, there is no reason for morality. If human existence is simply due to random chance – which is the only position an atheist can hold – then self-gratification and survival of the fittest is all that matters. And if that is the case, other than the fact that cooperating with others may help our own personal interests, without God there is absolutely no reason to genuinely care if bad things happen to anyone else – i.e., a set of morals. If someone else has a car, house, job, or wife that you want, what stops you from killing them? Just the law? Clearly not. Obviously, it is your conscience which is simply an internal set of morals that was hardwired into us. Where and how was that hardwired into us?? How is it that we feel love? It is far more logical for a parent to simply abandon their children then to take care of them at great expense for 18+ years. Where then does this completely illogical love and devotion a parent instantly feels for their child come from? It is because the essence of God is love and he made us in his image and likeness. Why then do bad things happen to good people, you ask? If you seriously want to understand the answer to that very valid question, read the owner's manual written by your maker called the Bible and attend a Bible study and you will. God bless this little girl and provide comfort to her family.

took her pain and suffering. Justin is just a child himself, yet he has the ability to move our hearts with his generous
giving of himself. Only look to his Mother to see why he is the generous, kind and loving person he has grown into.
I lost my husband recently to brain cancer. He was a gift to children everywhere as a Santa. I hope the joy he brought to others made this world a better place. God Bless the survivor. Our loved ones are safe in God's arms. If we can

There seems to be some cynical folks on here. Judging from the kitchen this little soul's parents were speaking in, I would think that they could afford the best health coverage for her. If this child had been from a poor or working class family she would not have lived as long as she had, nor had the quality of care she had. She was fortunate in that respect, poorer children would not have had this level of care. Rest in peace sweet little girl.

Whatever your beliefs or musical prefrences the death of a six year old girl is a tragedy. What her family must be feeling is overwleming. The actions of Mr. Beiber in response to this little girl show the best of the entertainment industry, and the best of a young man. It is unfortunate that some are using thhis to attack Mr. Beiber or others belief.

I may not be a Bieber music fan – I can honestly say I don't know his music well enough to have an opinion. But the point of this article is that a child loved his music. And it brought her great, great joy during her all too short life. Justin Bieber had no obligation so reach out to this family. No need to fly them to NY. No need to meet with them but he did. And in doing so, he made this child so very, very happy. A moment of bliss, away from the hospital, the needles, the sickness. This article is about a family who lost the most precious God given gift, their daughter... and about a singer who reached out to them to bring them some joy.
I am so sad for you that you can't see the beauty in this story. Celebrating her beautiful spirit and the kindness of others. I hope and pray you take a moment to relect on the this and quit making hurtful comments.

I just love what a little irrefutable logic does to people. They can't provide rational arguments, so they resort to name calling. Gee, the truth really hurts, doesn't it. If you believe prayer works, prove it scientifically. If not, then start thinking to for yourself, instead of believing all the crap you are fed in church on Sunday.

They're calling you names not because they believe in God and you don't, but because you are a tool who needs to learn about coping with loss. It appears you've never lost anyone, and that's good, but some of us have lost loved ones, and the last thing we want to hear is "I would pray for you, but your daughter's already dead. Oh well. I guess your god doesn't care." That's just cruel....

If prayer brings people comfort, what's the harm? I am an atheist, but I have no problem with people applying whatever coping mechanisms they need to get through pain and heartache. And it doesn't hurt this little girl's family to know that people are thinking of them at this sad time. Finally, not a fan of Bieber's music, but he is clearly a first class human being.

a real christian does not use God as a tool.

when i pray i am giving all my strength too that person to live...if they are going to die i pray their journey to God is in peace and they are in peace.

that's the way i do it. praying is not magic its faith.

To put it mildly, I am not in Justin Bieber's demographic, therefore, I have no idea what he sounds like as a singer.
He sounds like a good kid through his actions though. I think that's more important.

Let's all take a little time out from all the constant fighting and bickering and be thanful for what we have. This family lost something very precious to them yesterday, so let's be grateful for all the things we still have, at least for one day. May her and her family find comfort and peace.

I'm in my 40's and retired Army so I'm not a fan of Bieber's music. But, I have to say this young man has a tremendous amount of class and a big heart. Watching the video of that little girl lighting up when she was talking about their meeting made my day. The picture of her giving him that big kiss on the cheek was the dearest thing I've seen in a long time. Thank you for giving her that joy, Mr. Bieber. I hope more people from his generation follow that example. Bless Avalanna's little heart and may God bring comfort to her family.

Couldn't agree more, though I'm a jarhead or was; at least you're army and not a squid or navy puke. Submariners always gave me the creeps when around 'em, any ways here's a salute and hoping you have a good brew or two tonight. Semper Fi.

I was SO sad to hear about Avalanna's death, her story was particularly close to my heart because I am also a sick girl who loves Justin Bieber to pieces!, I have a Facebook page 'CAMPAIGN FOR SHAMEME ADAMS TO MEET JUSTIN BIEBER'!. I think when you are sick or unwell you need messages like Justin sends out such as #BELIEVE and #NEVERSAYNEVER, and she must have been like this. Justin should be very proud he made her short life extremley happy and her dream not only came true once but a few times I believe. If it had to have been one I am glad she met him!. RIP you sweetie, heaven has a little angel but you will be missed, I feel it for her family and for Justin. I hope before I die I also get the same dream. She inspires me!. x

Just know, you have many strangers pulling for you. May you win the fight against your disease. Hang tough!

I think we all feel bad a 6 year old died. What I think us rational people are not glad about is that Bieber could care less about this girl. How much of his money is he going to donate to research. How much time did he spend with her. Was he there to comfort her at night when she was sick and dying. How about some props for her parents that had to suffer through this. I'm so sick of some manufactured celebrity showing up for 5 minutes to a dying person for image, only to have the ignorant public praise them for such a small sacrifice. How about some acknowledgement of the thousands of people working to cure cancer under tight budgets and corrupt pharmaceutical companies. Lets all celebrate the real heroes not some punk kid.

That's an ignorant and obnoxious statement. As someone who could care less about the hype that Bieber has garnered over the past year or so; I still respect that he would go out of his way to give the little girl's family some comfort and peace of mind. Just think of it this way: if he invested $1 million on cancer research as soon as he found out about the little girl, would that have cured her? The little girl liked Bieber and the young artist treated her family to something special for a change. I applaud him for it.

You proved my point crystal clear. Over-exaggerating the praise he deserves due to his celebrity status. And how come he doesnt give 1 million to cancer research. Why not 10 milliion? Why not 100 million? If she truly was the greatest spirit he's ever known than no price would be too high to try to save others from this fate. And if he did make a massive contribution it should be done in secret not in front of the camera, but thats not going to happen either way. For all you religious folks out there, this is what your Jesus taught you to do.

Maybe he is donating a large sum to cancer research, how would a dipshlt like you know? One thing I notice is that he isn't here posting BS about what others are or are not giving (about which YOU know nothing). GO FIND A LIFE!!!

I can see your point, however can you honestly say you know for certain that he didn't spend more than 5 minutes with her? Perhaps he has helped pay for medical expenses the family has for her treatment. Are you his accountant and know first hand of the things you assume, perhaps he has donated money for research or would you garner that the only reason for doing so would be for a tax break? Maybe he has plans to assist in setting up a fund for research all in her name. I'm not a Justin Beiber fan; for one I'm to old and it isn't my style of music, I can care less about the young mans music, manufactured or not. I do respect him for what he has done for her, it is more than most celebrities do or have done. Please stop assuming things you clearly don't know the answers to; personally I do donate to such causes because I lost my father to cancer a little over a year ago and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of the people who helped prolong his life or helped with experimental procedures and medications. Every day I spent with my father until his death are days I will cherish, and I have so many people to thank for doing so. You sound young and jilted for what ever reason, I was once myself. One day you may wake up and realize doing so wasn't worth it, I'll leave that for you to discover.

Unfortunately it was bound to happen. Judging by the name this person posted as reflects much; likely a kid and if not I certainly hope this person doesn't have children, especially having to go through what Avalanna and her family have had to endure. The internet is full of cowards and off the cuff people who will say anything so long as they are unknown and not having said their statements face to face with someone...pathetic. No other words to say beyond that IMO.

Rest in peace little one, my condolences to family and friends. Losing someone at any age to cancer is agonizing, I can only imagine what her family is going through right now. I'm glad my father enjoyed 53 years of life before his passing last year; I'm a man, yet I found myself tearing up over this story and learning of her fight for life. I've certainly found a new sense of respect for Justin Bieber, at the least you made her young dreams come true; my hat off to you simply an amazing selfless class act that is rare to find from anyone these days.
