Jennifer Lopez talks 'Idol' rumors on 'Katie'Katie Couric appeared to have some insider knowledge Friday as she asked former "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez what she thought of the new "Idol" lineup. Lopez, who announced she was departing the show over the summer, wasn't aware of what Couric was referring to, as the new daytime host hedged that she thought Fox had announced the new judges to be Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson and the previously announced judge Mariah Carey.
Fox hasn't made that announcement, but there has been heavily speculation about Jackson, Minaj and Urban, who recently announced that he was departing his gig as a judge on "The Voice" Australia. Urban said in a statement to CNN Thursday that he's been "so fortunate" to have worked on the show and would love to do it again, but couldn't because of "the recording and promoting of a new album, a tour and other commitments." If those "other commitments" do happen to include an "Idol" job, then Urban has Lopez's approval, at least. "That's an eclectic group," said Lopez, who was particularly happy to hear Couric tell her that Randy Jackson would stay on. "They all have something different to offer, so it should be interesting." It should be interesting indeed ... if it happens. The only new "Idol" judge that's been formally announced since Steven Tyler and Lopez departed is Mariah Carey. Lopez, meanwhile, is looking forward to having the time to take on more projects. "At the end of the day," she told Couric, "I'm not a judge, I'm a performer." |

I watched Jennifer Lopez on the Katie Show and let me tell you, she looked stunning! She is beautiful, talented, humble, and real. I enjoyed her honestly, and stories. She is definitely an example of a woman that had dreams and worked hard to conquer them. She is simply glamourous and entertaining! Love you Jen!!
Last time she looked good was about ten years ago, I bet you with the help of let say 5 persons would look as good also.

So long as Randy is no longer a judge...is all that matters. He was so misguided in his backsided mean-spirited comments on Holly and Jessica last season. Any judge crowning that awful Phillip guy, should be fired. And now they are all gone. Good riddance. -Art
