Michael Clarke Duncan's funeral detailsThe mourning of Michael Clarke Duncan will continue early next week as invited parties gather for a private memorial service. A family spokesperson tells CNN that an invitation-only funeral will be held on Monday, September 10, and will be led by Bishop Charles Blake, with a eulogy from Dr. H. Beecher Hicks.
Fans of Clarke Duncan's will be able to pay their respects at a separate event. There will be a public viewing of Clarke Duncan's casket at the Hall of Liberty at the Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks and Mortuaries in Hollywood Hills on Sunday, September 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Clarke Duncan passed away at 54 on September 3 at the Cedar-Sinai Medical Center. He'd had a heart attack on July 13 and, according to the family spokesperson, never fully recovered. The tributes have consistently touched on what a loving, gentle and captivating person Clarke Duncan was. The "Green Mile" actor had planned on marrying reality star Omarosa Manigault next year.

God's light is on everyone–
So sad to hear of Michael's passing. He is certainly gone too soon.
I saw Omarosa on an episode on LA Hair this summer and she was her usual nasty, rude self. Ever wonder Minister Omarosa why bad things continue to plague you? Walk around inside yourself awhile and maybe you will find out why GOD's light isn't shining fully on you.
I am deeply surprised with your comment. How awful! You have no right to say what God has done to anyone or even take this most sensitive moment in Omorosa's life and use it against her. So unfair! You should repent and quickly.

I love MCD as an actor and he seemed to be a gentle, kind man. We have to consider he used steroids at one time to get as big as he was which affected his heart and its ability to recover.
I doubt Dick Cheney used steroids
I did not know Mr. Duncan as well as I would have liked too, but I did meet him an get to talk to him on two occasions. He struck me as a kind gentle giant of a man, he took his time to speak with me although we did not have a planned meeting. He made you feel like he was genuinely interest in you and took time for you although I am sure he had a busy life. He was a person I would loved to have gotten to know better or work with on a film. The second time we meet my 8 year old daughter was with me and he took time to speak to us again, made over her, she loved it and he made us both feel very special. Watching "The Green Mile" is extra sad tonight as I know I will never be able to speak to him again in this system. He was a Giant Gift and Gentlemen, and a fine example for other men. Our love goes out to his fiancee and his family. He has "Gone to Soon" and will be surely missed. He was like a modern day Samson a strong giant of a man but you felt he had a connection to God because of his kindness. Rest in peace Micheal and thank you for your gifts you gave us all.

He was an excellent actor and a gentle giant who left us too soon. My favorite movies of him are Planet of the Apes because at the dinner table, he slam the table with his hand and said, "Bow Your Heads." Daredevil. The Kingpin and Bullseye are a funny combination. The Green Mile because he had a gift of healing; although, he was accused of a crime. My prayers goes out to his family, friends, and fans. May God comfort you.
All the comments you all make about MCD is correct. He was a good actor and I like him. We need more people in the world like him. The good die young. The impact he had on so many lives. However you all people need to go back and read your Bible if you believe in it; only if you believe! God doesn't need angels, He has thousands upon thousands and ten thousands of angels. When someone dies they go in the Grave until the second Coming of Christ. They are in the ground sleeping. Daniel 12:2-3., 1Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, Revelation 20:5, 6, Ecclesisates 3:20-21, Ecclesiastes 7: 1-8, 9:7-6, 10:14, 11:5, 12:13-14 and the list go on and on. Furthermore God don't have any pleasure in his people dying. The rages of sin is death Romans 6:23. You cannot live you life any how and when you died you go to heaven. What you sow what you reap. ALL THIS IS SAID IN THE BIBLE, READY IT. AND STOP GUESSING AND HOPING YOUR GOOD WORDS WILL PUT HIM THERE STRAIGHT. I know you will blast me, that's ok because you all are illiterate when it come to the bible. The words of God still stand and will stand forever no matter your opinon doesn't matter. The bible also said the Fools have said in his heart there is no God, Read your Bible.
Thank you for your comments. However you should use spell check & re-read when you're preaching. Don't group "us" because you have no idea what or who you're referring to. Unless you have already died you don't know 100% the things you are saying. I have a Bible & I read it. As long as I believe in my God, his son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, I will be just fine. Instead of pointing fingers perhaps you should get on your knees and point your head to the heavens and pray for the uninformed & unsaved. Remember judge you not lest you be judged? Not everyone on the planet is Christian ... and neither was Jesus, who was an orthodox Jew and rabbi. If he lived today he would be appalled at what Christians have done and continue to do in his name - instead of to the one and only G-d.
The man was larger than life, was very humble and respectful. He will be greatly missed.

Aren't you a very sad excuse for a human being, judging Dick Cheney like that. I am so thankful that God is in charge of our lives and not you. God is much more forgiving.
I was looking forward to his future films. The Green Mile touched me so deeply. It didn't feel like I was watching a movie. That's how powerful that movie and all the actors were in that film. Thank you for your work, while it wasn't a long list of films, they were good ones.

All of these people saying nice things about Mr. Duncan, well let me tell you this and the truth about him (THERE RIGHT) I got to meet him last year and I'm still smiling about his humor and kind side. We all are here on this earth for a short period of time and I'm glad that he always greeted everyone with a smile and warm handshake if not a huge. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Duncan for sharing your son with us.

When i saw the heading i wondered who clarke duncan was.Thdn i opened it up and got a shock. All the movies iv seen and owned, the grden mile my fav of his and i never knew his name.I called him omarosa's boyfriend, aft calling him for yrs the green mile.I loved him as an actor, when you had his surprise birthday party i heard abt him as a person, and when u had cause to return home for your bro i heared what a gental spirt he was. He will be missed by billions. He is safe in God's arms. Omarosa know that everyone who knows your family heart go out to you, his fam and yours. I just watched THE GREEN MILE for about the 20th time just a few days ago for maybe the 20th time...a great loss to his fans & the industry.
He was the most kindest gentle man that the world was lucky to know there are no words to say other than we all are right there feeling the lose with you god be with the family and his love during the tribulations he is with god geting his wings
I remember something he said once in an interview. He said, I will never date a woman if she does not have all her teeth. I remember that and thought it rather snobbish. But that was his opinion. Sorry he had to die so young.
