Rihanna on Chris Brown: 'I lost my best friend'Rihanna has been pretty open about the fact that, when it comes to whatever dealings she may have with former boyfriend Chris Brown (who pled guilty to assaulting her in 2009), she's going to do what she wants. Three years and two remixes later, the "Birthday Cake" singer is opening up to Oprah about the night that changed everything between her and Brown. “I lost my best friend,” she told Oprah in an interview to air Sunday on OWN. “Everything I knew switched - switched in a night - and I couldn’t control that, so I had to deal with that, and that’s not easy for me to understand.” An emotional Rihanna said the situation was even more difficult for her to grasp with the world watching her every move. “It was hard for me to even pay attention to my mind and figure things out because now it became a circus and I felt protective,” she said. “I felt like, the only person they hate right now is him. “It was a weird confusing space to be in because as angry as I was – as angry, hurt and betrayed – I just felt like, he made that mistake because he needed help and like, who’s going to help him? Everybody is going to say he’s a monster without looking at the source and I was more concerned about him.” |

saw chris brown's forever video again..this kid has not given me such a thrill in watching someone dance since michael jackson. we all know michael could move his darn butt even at 50 years old!
Chris has high energy, he's like a rubberband on the dancefloor. He breezes through his dances so strong yet so soft. Forever is an innocent song yet makes its point through the dance.

my cousin volunteers for the arthritis foundation and just said chris brown definately has no physical pain but he has pain inside. let's hope all goes well for both. Chris is once heck of a dancer and it would be a shame to lose everything because of the cocaine.

If I do recall, in an interview on the Tyra show, Chris Brown said he witnessed his mother being a victim of abuse by his father. He also said that he would never do that to another woman, but lo and behold, he did. I believe that yes, while Rihanna should not go back to Chris and it looks to be a case of victim's remorse, she is right in the fact that Chris does have some issues that need to be dealt with. Mostly with anger and possibly violence he witnessed/experience as a child.

I heard she is reading the Bible & listening to Joyce Meyer. Keep listening to Joyce cost she recovered fully from abuse & has very good counselling in that area. Its called victims remorse. It is normal for the victim to begin to feel sorry for the abuser & even blame herself for what happened. Once an abuser, always an abuser except by the grace of God. The worst thing Rhi-Rhi can do to herself & her career is to go back to her abusive boyfriend Chris Brown. I have forgiven him for what he did to her cost I took it very personal tho I don't know these people. But as a victim of abuse myself, I understand how she is feeling. The good thing is that it is just a feeling. You don't have to yield to it. You are free now. Stay free and as far away from Chris Brown as you can Rhi-Rhi. I know he is cute & talented but he is no good for you. Chris Brown has not changed. Don't be deceived. He was only sad because he almost lost his career. Does this young woman have any friends? Perhaps friends from her past who loved her before she was famous and rich. Real friends. Someone needs to see that she gets some help. i'm a teacher, i can't wait to head back to school...i took 3 classes this summer with husband of 22 years and 2 grown kids it was tough but i was so productive...now i'm going for my doctrine in education at 50 years old.

Repair there's nothing to repair. Rihanna and Chris were teenagers handling an adult situation that got out of control. People like yourself tend to forget that. Rihanna has a long history of abuse as well as Chris. Rihanna has admitted to losing control of her temper with her own brothers and even to the point of bashing one over the head with a glass bottle. Chris and Rihanna should have both went into therapy together because both seems to have not gotten over one another and they both have been making huge mistakes in the medias eyes. So you need to let up and stand back and give them both a break.
