Casting Chronicles: Rachel Dratch, Robert Pattinson and more!With Tina Fey on “30 Rock,” Amy Poehler on “Parks and Recreation” and Maya Rudolph on “Up All Night,” we’ve been crossing our fingers for some sort of “Saturday Night Live” reunion on NBC. Learning that former “SNL” cast member Rachel Dratch will appear on an upcoming episode of “Up All Night” will tide us over for now. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dratch will guest star as Linda, a fan of Ava’s (Rudolph) who works at Valley Copies. In other casting news, Robert Pattinson’s manager confirms to CNN that Rob has been offered the role of T.E. Lawrence (a.k.a. Lawrence of Arabia) in Werner Herzog’s “Queen of the Desert.” Naomi Watts is already se to play Gertrude Bell in the film. Meanwhile, his “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart is still reportedly waiting on an offer for the “Snow White and the Huntsman” sequel. Universal Co-Chairman Donna Langley told CNN: “We are extremely proud of ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ and we’re currently exploring all options to continue the franchise. Any reports the Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false.” Stewart was allegedly involved in a cheating scandal with the film’s director, Rupert Sanders. And last but not least, screenwriter Terry Gilliam confirmed via Facebook that “Inglourious Basterds” actor Christoph Waltz will star in “The Zero Theorem.” |
