Nick Jonas: Yes, I'm being considered for 'Idol'For once, one of the rumored "American Idol" judge contenders is 'fessing up: Nick Jonas has confirmed that he is one of the stars being considered to judge the Fox singing competition. "The rumors are true," he posted Saturday. "I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens."
The Fox show has done a near overhaul of its judges panel this summer, with both Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez announcing their departures. Mariah Carey has been confirmed as one of the new "Idol" judges, but the jury seems to still be out on what will become of longtime judge Randy Jackson, who for awhile there was the sole remaining judge on the series. Us Weekly reported last week that there's been speculation that Jackson may become more of a mentor on the program, which would leave room for yet another judge at the table in January 2013. As a result, Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams are said to be frontrunners for the "Idol" judges table, but so far, it appears only Jonas has commented on it. The tweets of support for that role, should Jonas get it, were fast and furious, and no doubt Fox has taken note of the #NickOnIdol hashtag. The singer himself certainly has - he posted Saturday night, "Loved seeing all your amazing response to #NickOnIdol keep it coming!" |

UGH!
Well, it is not bad at all to have him as a judge.... Just see with what he will be doing in the show....:D Give him a try!
I think Nick Jonas would be a great choice. And getting rid of Randy would be even greater. I never thought
he brought anything to the table. How could he be a Mentor! In what? He was always a bad choice. I haven't
watched Idol this past season. I hope they are including country now. I'm not thrilled about Mariah. She is too
much of a Diva. I like her husband though and she has beautiful children.
No..please no more country!
I haven't watched American Idol in years, but it seems that they are starting the scrape the bottom of the barrel. They should pick up the first American Idol – Kelly Clarkson as a judge before either Nick Jonas or Pharell Williams. She understands what it is to be an American Idol, to go through the pressure and career growing pains and has been around long enough to understand what it takes for some sort of career longevity.
Snoozefest! What a terrible choice. He's reached his expiration date, and I'm glad of it.
Guess he'd be the token White guy...
OMG I didn't realize Ryan Seacrest wasn't white!
we're shaking because your not watching again
American Idol is DONE. Just let it go already. Mariah? Really? Don't think I will watch it again. Randy Jackson makes me sick and I can't even imagine anyone I'd want to see be a judge. The best have already left. Put it to bed.
Please, not a Jonas brother. He would bring absolutely NOTHING of value to the show.
First Carey, now this tool? You would not believe the epicness of the cr@p I no longer give about American Idol.
The Cerebellum is more important than Mariah Carey.
Being considered...as a contestant?
The rumors are true? That he's gay?
Hahaha, that's what I was thinking!
After hearing him in Les Mis....he doesn't have the right to judge anyone.
An entertainer (slang for puppet in this context) manufactored by Disney is hardly a good choice to judge someone else's talents. He only knows what others have shown him & have taught him to repeat, kind of like teaching a dog to sit. He knows how to obey the commands, but doesn't really know what he's doing or why he's doing it other than to recieve a pat on the head. To put actual artist's futures & fates in his hands would be a joke.
Lil wee nie would need a booster seat. Lmco
You're also considered a toolbag.
Maybe I they could get both the Jonas Bros and Little Wayne, WOW ! It would be the greatest show on TV !
They should hire him for sure. And maybe Pauley Shore. Their ratings will be through the roof !
the kid is talented he can play quite a few instruments...what do you play?
I play with myself.
What's not to like? A great choice. Nick can sing, play multiple instruments, write music and knows what it's like to be a teen idol. He's a perfect fit!!
A jonas brother would be good for american idol...especially nick! he is very down to earth and nice and im sure he will find some pure american talent:)
I can understand Mariah Carey. But a Jonas Brother? A Rapper? Boy is American Idol scraping the bottom of the talent pool.
