'21 Jump Street' producer at work on 'Sleeping Beauty' comedy“Sleeping Beauty” is about to get another new millennium face-lift. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the classic fairy tale will soon be re-told by the producer of “21 Jump Street,” this time from the perspective of a male protagonist who accidentally wakes the slumbering beauty up - and then can’t rid of her.
Producer Neal Moritz is reportedly moving forward with the project - a comedic take on the children’s story gone hilariously wrong. No word yet on who may star in the funny stalker romance, but the production team appears to be set up, with Amanda Lewis said to be on board to direct the flick. THR reports that it'll be written by Mike Gagerman and Andrew Waller. Angelina Jolie is already hard at work on a "Sleeping Beauty" project of her own called "Maleficent," which tells the familiar story from the point of view of the titular villain. |
