Mila Kunis: Me? Date? Yeah, right

Times are hard for the single Hollywood hottie.

“Ted” star Mila Kunis reportedly told Elle U.K. that she has a hard time getting a date because she’s famous, according to the New York Daily News.

"Is a guy going to come up to me and ask if he can take me out on a date? Where can I go and have this date?" she said in the magazine’s August issue. "I can't go anywhere! My house, his house ... So what do you do? I'm trying to be like a normal girl and a single girl ... but the concept of being single and in my position is just not workable. I couldn't even go on a date if I wanted to!"

Still, she said, she wouldn’t trade her success for the world. The former child star and “That 70’s Show” actress said she worked hard to get to where she is today.

"I have everything working against me at this point," she said. "I am a woman, I'm a child actress and I was on a television show for eight years. But I have worked really hard to prove them all wrong."

"It's the stubborn side of me,” she added. “I still don't have a f*****g clue what I'm doing. I'm not confident in my talent, whatever that might be, and I hope I never am. Working this hard is the thing that keeps me sane."

Kunis attributed family and friends to helping keep her feet firmly planted.

"If it wasn't for the solid foundation of my friends and my family, I don't know who I would be," she told the magazine. "My friends have been my friends since I was a kid and I think that makes a huge difference to how I behave. They're not industry – Julie is a teacher and Kat is a dentist. They prevent me from becoming a total a**hole."

Kunis just reportedly completed filming the movie “Tar,” a look at author C.K.Williams' life over the course of 40 years. It co-stars James Franco.

If I got a chance to date Mila kunis, I believe she would have fun. I know I could keep her laughing and if she wants to have a normal date without people bothering her I could make that happen. I have always been attracted to her I think she is really beautiful. Honestly even if we just hang out n talk that would be awesome I mean whatever makes her feel comfortable. If she wants I would cook her a candle light dinner n we could watch a movie, go for a walk or do something spontaneous. Anyway just getting to hang out and enjoying a conversation with her would be heaven.

I completely agree. After hearing that those two were together has ruined my image of her...sorry that sounds harsh, but I honestly do not understand what she would have been thinking if that's who she decides to go out with out of all the guys out there. Regardless of how hot she looks, it's those stupid choices that really ruin everything.

I have several female friends like Mila (minus the famous part): beautiful, successful, ambitious, very desirable, and dateless: can't get a date to save their lives. The reality is, they snobby when men approach them, because those men "aren't good enough." So, potential dates don't even try to ask them out. They get the clue loud and clear and walk away.

Ted! Thank God you wrote! What Ms. Kunis is really looking for is a married guy from the middle of nowhere who writes his date proposal on a public bulletin board. It's like you were meant for her!

Reading this article says alot about Kunis. I didn't catch her age but she sounds really immature and still has a seemingly critical self-image..... in public. "Pity-points"? I'll be willing to bet she's got a really strong and healthy ego. She's playing a "game" with us, which to me takes away some of her Brownie points with me. THe following is- I dunno..... ridiculous of her to say? "I have everything working against me at this point," she said. "I am a woman, I'm a child actress and I was on a television show for eight years. But I have worked really hard to prove them all wrong." Hmmmmm??? To me it doesn't appear everything is "working against her". A long-time "employed" child actor (a plus), and she works very hard at her job (a plus). But she is making the word "woman" a negative and I think that is you guessed it... a plus! I think Kunis needs to grow up, but first she needs to straighten out her public image... fast! She's the only negative thing working against herself!!!

I think she is referring to the business, not her family life. Child actors and women do have a hard time of it. Usually child actors really don't do all the much after their show has ended.

I can understand what you are saying. Compared to surgeons etc what they do is not vital to the world. But, would I want their jobs? No. They DO work long hours. Have to learn thousands of 'lines'. Then they have to promote the show/movie all over the world. They lose all privacy (like Mila is saying). Their lives are an open book. They, especially the women, have to be extremely conscious of how they look, or they won't work again. One bad role and they can be washed up. And you can say goodbye to a normal life. I know they work hard for it and at it, but I would not want it. But I do enjoy the fruit of their efforts when I see a good movie!

She's smokin' hot. Plenty of Hollywood types do find a healthy balance of romance and stardom. While I as an outsider can't verify, it seems as if Meryl Streep does this with her family and husband, as one of a number of examples. This country is exceptionally large. It's possible to find romance and normal outside of NY & LA.

It’ one thing being a self-assured, independent, womanhood figure of the Hollywood; but entirely another to constantly live on the edge of expectations for something more realistic.

It’s like this: The people of the Hollywood don’t care if a woman has sampled lots of body fluids, has evidenced by their constant swapping around, and the photo proof showing them always looking like a million buck when posing with their partners. But a real man would be taken back by all that. And so my point is: If Mila Kunis is looking for a real (a non-Hollywood) man, she would have to give up the Hollywood Business and Lifestyle, etc., etc., etc.
Thank you and have a good day.
