• The CW will kick off its fall season in October, with the return of "Hart of Dixie" on October 2; "Supernatural" on October 3; and "90210" and "Gossip Girl" on October 9. Their modern spin on "Beauty and the Beast" begins October 11 after "The Vampire Diaries" - check out the oh-so-cheesy trailer below. [EW]

• Dan Harmon has been replaced as showrunner, but thankfully the entire cast of "Community" will return in October - including Chevy Chase. [Deadline]
• It's a "New Day" for Alicia Keys - and that's also the title of her newest single, which dropped Thursday. Listen to it at the link. [RS]
• In random couple news: Johnny Depp is said to be "100 percent dating" Amber Heard, who's rumored to have split with her girlfriend. We guess we're supposed to know that it's serious because it's been reported that Depp bought her a horse. [Us Weekly]
• Following in their older sisters' footsteps, Kendall and Kylie Jenner are getting into the book business, and are co-writing a young adult novel with a sci-fi theme. [E!]
• Jennifer Lawrence is holding on to her title of hardest working woman in Hollywood (OK, so we gave her that title - roll with it), because when she's not starring in blockbuster franchises, she's making an adorable, seemingly hilarious rom-com with the likes of Bradley Cooper.
