Overheard on CNN.com: In search of the 'perfect album'

[Editor's note: This post is part of the Overheard on CNN.com series, a regular feature that examines interesting comments and thought-provoking conversations posted by the community.]

People love to talk about music. A story about Ken Caillat's new book covering the inside story behind the Fleetwood Mac album, "Rumours," had several readers gushing about their own favorite albums. Seems there are all kinds of "perfect albums" for all kinds of tastes.

Take a look at what readers said, and then let us know what "perfect albums" pop up into your mind. Do people still think albums are still a big deal? And, for that matter, what are the qualities that make a great album?

Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours' at 35: Still the 'perfect album'

"Rumours" takes this reader back.

mikrik13: "The first time I heard this album being played in a music store on the main drag in Morgantown, WV. I thought it was amazing. Purchased it at that moment. Everyone I played it for in Buckhannon, WV, thought it was magical. Anytime I wish to jump back into my college days in the early '70s, I play this music."

One reader gave their Top 5 list, including "Rumours."

JRJNJNY: "Besides all of the Beatles' perfect albums (i.e. "Abbey Road," " Sgt. Pepper," the "White Album," "Rubber Soul" and "Revolver"). there are five albums that I consider a journey or a perfect force in music from 1955 to today ... in order:

1. "Rumours" (Fleetwood Mac)
2. "Bat Out of Hell" (Meat Loaf)
3. "Led Zeppelin 4"
4. "The Joshua Tree" (U2)
5. "Dark Side of the Moon" (Pink Floyd)

MaynardKrebs: "I'll concur with the Meat Loaf, but I'd scratch the Zeppelin for 'Hotel California.' "

yohi60: " 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' still gets a lot of play."

There were several votes for Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon." FULL POST

It's official: The latest from CNN Entertainment

Here's the latest confirmed news from CNN Entertainment:

  • Drake and Chris Brown offered $1 million each to fight: An organization called Celebrity Boxing Gym has offered both Chris Brown and Drake - the two hip-hop stars named in an alleged altercation at a New York nightclub two weeks ago - $1 million a piece to fight each other in the ring. They've even reached out to Rihanna - who reports speculated was the reason for the brawl - to be the ring girl. Yep. A rep for the Celebrity Boxing Gym tells CNN that they're waiting to hear back from reps for both Drake and Chris Brown, and that while they're "99.9 percent sure" Rihanna's going to pass, they're positive she'd watch the fight, if it were to happen. Proceeds would go to benefit a charity that helps abused women.
  • Jennifer Lawrence helps collapsed girl: Add Jennifer Lawrence to the growing list of celebrities you want around when you need a helping hand. The 21-year-old "Hunger Games" star came to the aid of an underage girl on Monday after the young woman collapsed on the front lawn of Lawrence's Los Angeles apartment complex. Lawrence was one of those attempting to offer help when police arrived around 6:49 p.m. Police say the young woman was treated on the spot and cleared to go.
  • 50 Cent suffers minor injuries after car crash: Rapper 50 Cent was in a car accident in New York early on Tuesday, but thankfully he only suffered minor injuries. His rep tells CNN that he was "taken to New York Hospital Queens, where he was treated for minor neck and back injuries. He was released this morning and is doing fine."
