Wahlberg on 'Entourage' movie: Script's in progressShortly after HBO’s “Entourage” ended its run, star Jerry Ferrara (a.k.a. Turtle to fans) was hopeful but realistic about the story continuing on the silver screen. “As far as the status of the movie, I guess I could say it’s looking good and there is potential,” he told CNN last fall. “But in this business that really doesn’t mean much until you’re on set and you’re shooting.”
Well, Mark Wahlberg has news for Ferrara and fans of the show. The "Entourage" producer - and the inspiration behind the Vinny Chase story - told CNN over the weekend that the film should arrive sooner rather than later. “['Entourage' creator] Doug Ellin is actually right now writing the script as we speak,” Wahlberg said, also mentioning that he hopes the potential “Entourage” movie could be ready for a 2013 summer release. “He’s finally started writing and hopefully it won’t take too long now.” In the meantime, Wahlberg is set to star alongside Justin Bieber in a “Color of Money”-esque flick set around basketball. Wahlberg would be the Paul Newman to Bieber’s Tom Cruise in this riff on Martin Scorsese’s 1986 film. While anything with the Biebs is sure to bring a crowd, Wahlberg says his daughter isn’t all that impressed that Dad, himself a former teen heartthrob, will be working alongside one of the hottest entertainers around. “My daughter was a Bieber fan, but she’s over him,” the "Ted" star said. “She’s nine. She’s into 'Shake it Up' and that sort of thing, those Disney shows.” |

i can´t wait to see the movie, its gone be great to see all the guys together again, Ari Gold is awesome...Entourage best show ever
GaryT- Are you really too cheap to pay $10 to watch a movie that would satisfy a thirst with which you've been harboring since the end of a series you claim of which to have been a fan and supporter? It's $10 dollars man, geez, it's cheaper than theater tickets on Broadway. Stop crying about spending money if you've spent all that dough on season DVDs.
Entourage was a good series. A true guy flick. Ari gold stole the show and his performence was awesome. The ending of the series and starting of the movie is going to be very perdictable. I honestly don't think the movie will be worth watching.
I would love to see a Entourage movie. It is of the greatest shows ever worthy of a movie.
Does anyone else think Beiber looks like Ellen DeGeneres' little sister?
(DVD) After a mission gone awry, Marine sneipr Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg) now leads a solitary existence in the mountains of Wyoming. When he is called back to assist a covert military group (headed by Danny Glover) in determining how to pull off an assasination attempt, he soon discovers that he's been set up in an elaborate ruse to take the fall. Hell hath no fury like a Marine scorned, and Swagger becomes a PO'ed two-man army (once he hooks up with disgraced FBI agent Michael Pena), determined to bring the real culprits to justice. Directd by Antoine Fuqua ( Training Day ), this high octane conspiracy thriller just doesn't let up and will keep the viewer guessing. Though it's pretty violent it's well worth watching! My only drawback was having to hear Glover's dialogue was it me or did he have some really ill-fitting dentures that provided him with the most annoying lisp. I was just waiting for them to fall out. Overall though, Glover has not given a more chilling performance since Witness, and Wahlberg who can also be pretty menacing, proves to be a great action hero. The DVD extras include a great behind the scenes segment featuring the technical advisor, himself a former military sneipr, who provides insight into that occupation as well as the weapons used in the movie.
Sigh.... another remake of Color of Money set in the basketball world. Even sadder... it will draw millions of girls just because the Beebz is in it.
Loved Entourage and have it on dvd, but have zero desire to pay to watch a movie. Why pay theater $$ to watch about 1/4th of a normal season.
Because the last episode didn't finish the end of the story. Does Eric and Sloan's marriage work out? What about their baby? What about Vince and the writer whose name I can't remeber? Does Ari take the job? Do they move back to LA? So many questions can be answered in an hour and a half movie.

All I have to say is: WHY? Why would Mark Wahlberg do a movie with Bieber? He can't be scrapping the bottom of the barrel with his awesome career already. As far as the Entourage movie I will wait for it to come to cable.
Seriously?
