Photo: Angelina Jolie as 'Maleficent'Joining the ranks of Charlize Theron and Julia Roberts as another evil fairy tale character, Angelina Jolie makes being bad look awfully good. Disney released a photo of the 37-year-old Oscar winner as the title character in the upcoming "Maleficent" on Tuesday, and while the image is a little dark, we could see those cheekbones from a mile away.
The film, which is slated for release on March 14, 2014, will tell the classic "Sleeping Beauty" story by focusing on Jolie's Maleficent. Under direction from Robert Stromberg, an Oscar-winning production designer making his debut in the director's chair, the movie will examine what made Maleficent put the curse on "Sleeping Beauty's" Aurora when she was just a baby. The cast also includes Sharlto Copley; Sam Riley; Imelda Staunton; Juno Temple; and Elle Fanning as the cursed princess. Jolie also serves as executive producer on the film - which will also be available in 3-D.

if you think she can't act..... just watch "Gia", where she portrays a model in the 80's who slips into drug and even heroin addiction. Stunning. I think she won an award for that. Well-deserved, too.

I am not a big fan of Miss Jolie, but have seen several movies with her in them. She is an OK actress, but I don't think this part was made for her. I think a recasting project is needed.

I wasn't a fan of Jolies until I saw Salt, especially the special features on the DVD. I'll definitely be watching this flick.

Im bored with hollywood anymore...what passes now for good entertainment makes me yawn...i go to the drive n here n am so glad i get two movies for 8bucks caused if i had to pay full price i would never go on husband/wife date.

This sounds awesome. Hopefully there's a tad more romance in it than there was in "Snow White and the Huntsman." You make a fairy tale with Chris Hemsworth in it, people expect a little more than what was delivered in that movie. Just a little more would have done. That's why people like fairy tales. Romance and pathos.

Sleeping Beauty was my favorite movie when I was a kid. I think Angelina will be awesome in this role. Too bad we have to wait two years to watch it.

The haters here crack me up. Yeah, she's unattractive, a lousy actress and she's boring. Yet she's one of Hollywood's highest paid actresses and has probably appeared in more movies than any of you have. The role you had as "woodsman #4" in your junior high school play doesn't count. Sorry.

Why do people find Jolie attractive? Sorry, I just don't get it. She's fine, but I see way cuter/hotter girls walking around on the street every day. Her puffed up lips are nasty and while I enjoy a trim, athletic girl, I don't like the starved supermodel look. Ick.

Dude. FYI. Those lips are real. Different people find different things attractive about women. Some men like fat women. Some men like women with no boobs. Some men like men dressed as women. People are strange indeed but I personally think Angelina is beautiful.
I agree with you. She's not exactly ugly but she's not that hot either. Her nose is kind of messed up and she's been way too skinny lately. Plus she used to bang billy bob and I'm sorry but I don't think there's enough soap on earth to wash that off.

I can't stand her acting. I don't rememeber her movies, which says a lot. i never thought she was beautiful and the vegan diet has her so skinny that the only reason to like her (her body) is gone too. Not sure how some actors are so huge and make so much money on questinable talent. I guess Hollywood has always been who you know (or who you're sleeping with)...
She's a great artist, both in front and behind the camera. Proof is in her awards, and the money her movies bring in. You sound a little green.
