Nicole Scherzinger to judge 'X Factor' in the U.K.

Nicole Scherzinger was axed from Simon Cowell's U.S. version of "The X Factor" after one season, but the singer is now going to give "X Factor"  judging a go on the U.K. edition.

The 33-year-old singer/actress, who has been a guest judge on the program before, will join Tulisa, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow when "X Factor"  returns across the pond later this summer.

"I’m so excited to join the U.K. X Factor family," Scherzinger tweeted Friday. "It's where I got my start, so it feels great to come full circle. I can’t wait to see what talent the UK has to offer and to help inspire and bring out the best in these artists."

The former Pussycat Doll is replacing singer Kelly Rowland at the judges' table, a musical chairs scenario that Scherzinger isn't unfamiliar with.

Last summer, Scherzinger replaced Cheryl Cole as a judge on the stateside version of "The X Factor." But by January of this year, she, along with her fellow judge Paula Abdul and host Steve Jones, was let go.

Cowell and the other remaining judge, music exec L.A. Reid, have since replaced Scherzinger and Abdul with Demi Lovato and Britney Spears.

Good let the UK have here as long as it doesn't air in the US and we don't have to see her anymore. One of the biggets phonies out there. No talent and no brains!

Really??? She sucked in America and she will suck in the UK. I will never understand how producers think a pretty face can help ratings. People have caught on to reality tv and the behind the scenes decisions being made that make the entire process fake!!! Anyone who thought that Melanie Amaro would not win the American version of X Factor from the time Simon walked into her living room is delusional!!!!

Nicole SUCKED for the US version f X-Factor. Perhaps in the UK, Nicole learned her lesson and will not believe that it's all about HER. And maybe – if they are smart, they will INSIST that she sits DOWN, instead of her stupid head tossing groupie behavior. She was so AWFUL that it is difficult to believe that UK took her on. Seriously. She is THAT bad.

Thing is, she didn't judge, she followed. And when it came down to her final decision, she blew it and let the good singer leave and the ok singer stay against everyone's better judgement... then she cried about it and told people she wished she hadn't made that decision... so bad
