While you were working...

Today's news you might've missed:

  • Gosh, how fast she's grown! Once tween star Miley Cyrus is now getting engaged and talking about sex and wearing nothing but blazers on the red carpet. And, so we hear, planning a "very adult and sexy and believable" album. [E!]
  • Kim Kardashian's leather dress ripped before she went on Jimmy Fallon last night, and surprisingly she needed to get it fixed. It's not like we haven't seen it all on camera before... [HuffPo]
  • George Clooney is continuing to be a triple-threat - actor, director, fearless humanitarian - by picking up a directorial role with "The Yankee Comandante," his rep says. It's a drama about an American who helped Fidel Castro and other Cuban rebels overthrow dictator Fulgencio Batista in Cuba. Clooney will also produce along with Grant Heslov through their Smokehouse production company.
  • Jewel has transformed herself into June Cash for her role in a movie about the legend, straight pearly whites and all. See for yourself: [Twitter]
  • In an expected turn of events, Charlie Sheen reportedly invited a female security guard to do something we won't quote here when he didn't get his way at the Staples Center on Wednesday. Winning, that is not. [TMZ]
  • Since John Mayer isn't really likely to tweet about the time he ran into his rumored ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift after he gives her a verbal takedown in a national magazine, we're going to do one for him: "#Thatawkwardmoment when you see the ex you dissed in a mag at a restie and she demands to be as far away from u as poss." [Page Six]
  • The upcoming "Robocop" remake just got that much cooler, with Samuel L. Jackson playing a "charismatic media force." [THR]
  • Mr. Rogers, the trippy version: [TheDailyWhat]

'Snow White' movie under fire for not hiring little people

Kristen Stewart's "Snow White and the Huntsman" performed well at the box office on its opening weekend, but the darker take on the classic fairy tale hasn't won fans within the Little People of America organization.

The nonprofit, which provides support and information to people of short stature as well as their families, is taking "Snow White and the Huntsman's" studio, Universal, to task for not hiring little people to play the dwarves in the film.

Instead, actors like Ian McShane, Bob Hoskins and Nick Frost were tapped to perform in the roles, and were digitally made to appear shorter on-screen.

Ex-CIA agent Plame helped Sam Shepard prep for role

"I'm a writer, that's essentially what I am. The acting's just the thing that I do to make a living, because you can't make a living as a writer."

So says Sam Shepard, who has been busy with acting as of late thanks to parts in Cannes pick "Killing Them Softly" and this week's DVD and Blu-ray release, "Safe House."

Porn site votes for fave movie sex scenes

When it comes to evaluating the best on-screen sex scene, we're lending our ears to some experts: adult entertainment site PornHub. (Who better to know the quality of a steamy scene than a frequent visitor, we figure.)

According to a survey the site recently conducted, Natalie Portman's Oscar winning turn in "Black Swan" has nabbed the actress another prize, in tandem with her co-star Mila Kunis. Their racy tryst was voted into the top spot with 32 percent of the votes, making it America's "favorite mainstream sex scene."

An eye-popping trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s new film “Django Unchained” has hit the web.

The western-themed movie is about a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz as Dr. King Schultz) who recruits a slave named Django (Jamie Foxx) to help him find his foes, The Brittle Brothers.

In exchange, Django would win his own freedom and get help in overcoming a vicious plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio’s Calvin Candie), who has kidnapped his enslaved wife (Kerry Washington).
