'True Blood’ actor to star opposite Lohan in 'Liz & Dick'

“True Blood’s” Grant Bowler will play Richard Burton in the Lifetime biopic “Liz & Dick,” according to Deadline.

The report states that the actor, who played Cooter on HBO's vampire series, was cast a mere 10 days before filming is set to begin.

He'll star alongside Lindsay Lohan’s Elizabeth Taylor in the flick, which will chronicle the highly publicized relationship between Burton and Taylor. The pair engaged in an affair in the early ‘60s. They eventually married … and then divorced … twice.

Taylor and Burton appeared in many films together, including “Cleopatra,” “The Taming of the Shrew” and “Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”

We wonder what Rosie O'Donnell thinks of the decision to cast Bowler as Burton…
