'Idol's' Ace Young, Diana DeGarmo are engaged"American Idol" crowned a winner on Wednesday's finale, but the show also managed to pack in a live marriage proposal for season 5 "Idol" star Ace Young and season 3 alum Diana DeGarmo. Young and DeGarmo, who got to know each other while performing in a 2010 Broadway production of "Hair," were in the audience of Wednesday's show when host Ryan Seacrest called them to the stage. They were both looking "very pretty," as Seacrest told the pair, who moved in together last summer.

Michael McKean in good spirits after accidentMichael McKean's recent NYC accident didn't scare away his sense of humor. The actor, who's currently cast in Broadway's "The Best Man" and is also famous for his role as Lenny on ‘70s sitcom fave “Laverne and Shirley," is reportedly cracking jokes days after he was struck by a car in New York City. According to the New York Post, McKean - who was mowed down by a runaway cab Tuesday as he strolled down the sidewalk of New York’s Upper West Side - is on the mend and in good spirits following the shocking accident.

A baby on the way for 'Modern Family'When Cam and Mitchell got the call that the baby they've been waiting for was arriving in a California border town, it looked like great news for the couple on Wednesday night's "Modern Family" season finale. Gloria - this week's MVP - accompanied them on the trip as a translator. Once they arrived at the hospital, the telenovela fans found a real life telenovela taking place before their eyes. After the drama played out, the grandmother announced that she was going to take care of the child.

Will Smith on the red carpet slap heard 'round the worldWill Smith may have gotten a little .... combative, shall we say, with a reporter on the red carpet last week after said journalist planted one on the "Men in Black III" actor. But it's not like he beat him up. Smith clarified as much on David Letterman's "Late Show" Tuesday night, explaining that he was in the midst of an interview in Moscow when the journalist asked for a hug. "He said, 'I'm your biggest fan, can I have a hug, please,'" Smith recalled. "So I leaned in to give this joker a hug, and he like, leaned in to kiss me. It's just awkward, Dave." |
