Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones on 'MIB4' possibilityThe idea for this month's "Men in Black III" was actually born 11 years ago on the set of "Men in Black II," the sequel to 1997's initial sci-fi comedy hit. As "MIB" franchise director Barry Sonnenfeld recently told CNN, he, along with stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, was shooting one night, and while they waited on a set repair Smith revealed that he had an idea for the threequel. "I said 'What,'" Sonnenfeld recalled, "'cause I was tired and there's Will full of energy, joy and happiness."
Smith's pitch, as Sonnenfeld remembers it, went like this: "At the beginning, something has happened and Agent K is missing and I have to go back to the past to go try to save young Agent K. In doing so, myself and the audience find out all sorts of secrets about the world that we didn't even know were out there." As evidenced by the existence of the third "MIB," Smith was on to something, but at the time all Sonnenfeld could say was, "can we just finish this one?" They did wrap up "Men in Black II" and are now ready to unveil the third installment - complete with Smith's time travel idea - on May 25. And, if history repeats itself, we just might be in for a fourth film - except with one tweak. "Will's kind of really smart, but as I said, kind of really annoying, too much energy," Sonnenfeld joked. "When he would get too rambunctious, I would tell him that for 'Men in Black 4,' Will is out and [his son] Jaden Smith is in. ... If we continue on this path, it won't be released until 2032 but it will be damn good." After all, Sonnenfeld continued, "It all goes into the same pot; it doesn't matter which Smith brings it in. So I am sure he will be fine with it." Well, not quite. Smith doesn't sound opposed to the idea of a fourth "MIB," but he's not so sure he's ready to pass the torch. "Jaden is already 13 years old, so he’s at that mythological boys age, you know - it’s time for his bro-mitzvah," Smith said. "So he’s right at that place ... He’s ready to test me so he can’t come anywhere near my movies right now!" As for Smith's co-star Tommy Lee Jones also sees the potential in a fourth movie. "It is easy to pick up where we left off," he told CNN. "We know what we are doing, we know how to do it. It's just a hell of a lot of fun." But if they made a fourth "MIB," would you head out to the theaters to see it? |

I'd certainly like to see a fourth installment of this franchise, but only if they treat it a bit better than MIB 3...don't get me wrong, it was ok...but really over the top in some areas, including a really annoying nemesis...
I've finally saw MIB3 (yes it's late, but only because i wanted to see the other two movies first.) I didn't find the MIB3 that great as the other two. i kinda missed Jones in it. But i really would love to see a MIB4! But hopefully they don't take an other 11 years to bloody make one!
she can be more herself during that time....
i liked all the mib movies so i think this one will be great if will and tommy lee is in it
now it will closer then a movie-truth–no need to struggle with the eyes....
tommy lee get will set the "otherside" for a few months
this movie didn't do well at the box office.
Are you kidding me??? It made almost 700,000 million dollars...it did GREAT at the box office.
ugh
Jayden is a boy! Damnit all you ppl... he's a boy!!
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYOUpornHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

If there's gonna be a Men In Black 4, then I'm all for it. I went and saw MIB 3 in theaters twice. first in 3D then regular 2D. It's offically another of my all-time favorite movies.
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadufucaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahooooooooooooooo
what!
hell yeah! absolutely they should make the fourth one but Will Smith is right, no jayden, at least not in Wills role. Will smith is the key of that movie saaga
we love jayden.
I have to admit, I didn't go into MIB3 with high hopes but enjoyed it rather thoroughly. And considering the ending (no spoilers here) I would love to see how it evolves in another movie.
i like will smith but these movies stunk
I would go and see a MIB4 because I LOVED MIB3! I'd rather see a good "formula" sequel than some of the crap movies they just throw together for the under 25 movie goer. They just spit out movies and there's rarely anything interesting and worth going to the movies to see. So I welcome a movie that makes me laugh, has some pretty great actors...even if it is a sequel.
wwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabeethchhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahooooooooooooooooooooooooo
If #3 hauls in the cash, then #4 is a no-brainer...
6, 7 or 8?
hope it works for them but i can't see it at this point
wow
Yes. Because if there's one thing this world needs its more sequels.
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWJAAAAAAAAAAAAHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Super idea, go for it!
@Mean Mofo you funny lol.
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Hell yeah! Way better than all the remake of other old Hollywood classics. I kind of think they borrowed something from Back to the Future, but hey, at least it's not another "chick flick" that makes everybody cry.
Ugh. Isnt the insult also known as MIB3 enough? Or MIB2 for that matter. Actually MIB1 was insulting to basic human intelligence as well.
and you are an insult to yo mama, turning out like you did after all she's done for you. Just go stand on the train tracks and wait for the express.
