The CW holds 'Carrie Diaries' for midseason

While the CW's "Sex and the City" prequel series "The Carrie Diaries" is one of the most-talked about of the upcoming season, viewers are going to have to wait a while to see it.

When the network unveiled its fall schedule Thursday, "The Carrie Diaries" was placed in the midseason, expected to arrive in January 2013 along with a new series called "Cult."

That show follows an investigative journalist who uncovers the dark side to being a fan of a hit TV show called "Cult" after his brother disappears.

In the meantime, The CW is pushing out its updated "Beauty and the Beast" series, an update of the '80s CBS series; a show based on the DC Comics character also seen on "Smallville" called "Arrow"; and a new medical series called "Emily Owens, M.D."

Check out the fall schedule below, with times in eastern and new shows in bold:

  5. The Stable Called

She doesn't fit the part. She isn't a horse like the original.

    • Back to the Stable with You

Don't be so ignorant. Linda Hamilton was one-third of what made that show's charm and attraction. The other two thirds were Ron Perlman and the writing. I hope this clip doesn't represent what we'll be seeing in this show, because all I see is cliche and telegraphed scenes. Not very promising.

    • @ Back to the Stable With You

You obviously missed the point. "The Stable Called" was talking about Sarah Jessica Parker... who the heck is Linda Hamilton?
