Tom Cruise still has it bad for Katie HolmesSix years of marriage has not diminished the love Tom Cruise feels for his famous wife. In Playboy's June issue, the “Mission: Impossible” star says he loves Katie Holmes as much now as he did when they got hitched in 2006 - even though naysayers were placing bets on how long their union would last. "She is an extraordinary person, and if you spent five minutes with her, you'd see it,” said the 49-year-old actor, who stars in the upcoming film “Rock of Ages.”
“Everything she does, she does with this beautiful creativity," he went on. "When she becomes interested in something, she doesn't talk about it - she does it." Case in point: Holmes’ continual willingness to try new things. "One week I said to her, 'You've been up in the middle of the night. Is everything okay?'” Cruise recalled. “She smiled and then threw this thing on my desk and said, 'I wrote this script.' She wanted to try it, and she did. She wanted to try designing clothes, and now her line is wonderful and, to me, an example of how she just creates beautiful things in her life. She has a voice and warmth as an artist, as a mother." If you can't tell, "I'm a romantic," Cruise said. "I like doing things like creating romantic dinners, and she enjoys that ... I'm just happy, and I have been since the moment I met her. What we have is very special." Cruise would rather spend time with his 33-year-old wife and their daughter, Suri, than anything else, but that doesn't mean he slacks on perfecting his craft. “I needed to find out if I could really sing!" he told W magazine of rehearsals for “Rock of Ages,” in which he plays Stacee Jaxx, an aging, long-haired, tattooed rockstar. “[Axl] Rose’s former vocal coach [Ron Anderson] came in and worked with me,” he said. “And then I had to learn how to play guitar. I’m very good at air guitar—and air drums—but I had never played an actual guitar." After spending weeks honing "Stacee’s technical skills, I was thinking about the character, and I said, “You know what? I need a monkey,” Cruise said, referring to his character’s animal bestie in the musical-turned-movie. “The baboon’s name has to be Hey Man. Stacee Jaxx doesn’t work without Hey Man." “Rock of Ages” hits theaters June 15.

He will "love" her until the marriage hits 9.5 years–and then he'll file for divorce (10 years is the magic number in California for assets acquired during marriage) just as he did with Kidman. Of course with Kidman, he didn't succeed in forcing her into Scientology. It worked with Holmes.

Another thing. Tom is right about psychology. It's a quack science. You can't fix a computer by just looking at the outside and trying to figure out what is happening on the inside. You have to open it up. I respect neurology, not psychology. I remember reading one study where you had two groups who lost family. One group had no counceling. The other group talked to a psychologist everyday. After 6 months, the group talking to the psychologists were far more depressed than the group who had none.

I am not about raining on anyone's parade. But I too could create beautiful and wonderful things had I the funds and mobility to do it. Being married to Mr. Cruise provides that type of lifestyle. You can follow your creative instincts without having to be up to do the 9/5 and after 9/5 duties. Oh well. some have it luckier than most.

I've really never known how to feel about them...their kinda one of those couples like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie...sometimes I think it's all for appearances or like a prior person stated, there's some kind of contract or something involved...or maybe it's a Scientology thing...but I'm not them, so I can only really speculate on this...however I've just always felt that something wasn't "normal"...

Wow, what a rare gift you have. You can look at a photo of a 6 year old that you have never met and do not know and tell us exactly how she will behave at 16. It must be fabulous being so perfect that you can judge others like that.
I'm not a big Cruise fan but if he's really being sincere about his wife...then kudos to you Tom. It's a rare thing these days to have married people still feeling like they did in the beginning. Usually after 5 or 6 yrs, people can't stand their mate and want out.

Amen, Gail. I feel the very same way. I have not seen any of his movies since he did that. I even change the channel when an old movie of his comes on. He's brainwashed by Scientology. If he wants to live his life that way, fine, but don't cram it down anyone else's throat.
