'Grey's' cast expected to return next seasonIt looks like "Grey's Anatomy" fans will have a bit of good news to hold them over until next season. Despite previous concerns over tenuous contract negotiations, Deadline reports that all of the original cast members on "Grey's" are close to signing on to return for another two rounds of the long-running show. When the ink is dry, Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh, Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson and James Pickens, Jr. will be ready to reoccupy their dressing rooms - something show creator Shonda Rimes wasn’t sure would ever happen.

The Throwback: A return to the world of 'Dark Shadows'It seems to go without saying that at this point, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton have a lot in common - not least of which being the eight movies they've worked on together. Yet we can add another item to that list: Their affection for "Dark Shadows," the series they've turned into a movie arriving in theaters Friday. It was actually Depp who brought the idea of a movie to Burton, as the actor's a noted fan of the original 1966-71 daytime TV series, and Burton shares his appreciation. They've also got plenty of company: for over 45 years, the show has had a fanbase that far outweighs other relatively short-lived soaps.

Russell Brand to host 2012 MTV Movie AwardsRussell Brand's staying busy in the aftermath of his divorce: The comedian is all set to host the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. It’ll be the first time the actor will host the ceremony honoring film favorites, although he has hosted MTV's Video Music Awards twice before. The MTV Movie Awards will air live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on Sunday, June 3.

Report: Britney Spears signs on for 'X Factor'The speculation surrounding Britney Spears' rumored "X Factor" deal continued Thursday as reports suggest that the pop star has signed a contract to officially be a judge on the reality competition. According to E!, Spears is set to join season 1 holdovers Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid when "The X Factor" returns to Fox in the fall. The site reports that the pop star signed a deal this week to get $15 million for one season. A source tells E! that there's been "a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated small details, but she's on. It's all completed and Britney is beyond excited."

Anna Faris expecting first childWe're thinking this baby will have one wicked sense of humor: Anna Faris' rep confirms to CNN that the actress is pregnant. It’ll be the first child for Faris and her husband, “Parks and Recreation” star Chris Pratt. According to E!, Faris seems to be making good on her plan to “populate” the world. |
