Cannes Film Festival reveals 2012 lineup

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are just a few of the Hollywood A-listers expected to descend upon the Cannes Film Festival when it opens next month.

Organizers unveiled the highly anticipated lineup for 2012's event on Thursday.

Among the hottest screening tickets in town?

Director Andrew Dominik’s "Killing Them Softly,” starring Pitt; Lee Daniels’ "The Paperboy,” starring Nicole Kidman, John Cusack, Zac Efron and Matthew McConaughey; and "Lawless" with Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf.

Other projected standouts include Wes Anderson’s opening night screening of “Moonrise Kingdom,” as well as David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis” featuring “Twilight"'s Pattinson.

Not to be outdone, his vampire franchise co-star Kristen Stewart will also be entered into the competition with Walter Salles' "On the Road."

The Cannes Film Festival runs from May 16 to May 27.

Tomika Anderson of CNN, do you noticed that you quoted "Among the hottest tickets in town screening feathers" for only the three American productions?! Cannes is not limited to American productions!

If Kristen Stewart could actually act, "On the Road" might even be watchable.

If you were not so caught up and obsessed with the Twilight or franchise films and watched her previous films, you would know that she can act.
