SJP encourages young Carrie Bradshaw

“Sex and the City” producer Michael Patrick King isn’t enthralled by the idea of a prequel to the HBO series, but it seems Carrie Bradshaw herself is ready to pass on the torch.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who played the Manhattanite for six seasons (and two films), recently reached out to AnnaSophia Robb, who plays a teenaged Bradshaw on The CW’s “The Carrie Diaries.”

“She sent me a letter! I wrote her one back, too,” Robb told Us Weekly. “She was just very encouraging about it all. It was really cool.”

The 18-year-old said she prepared for the iconic role by “watching the show and really trying to click with the character.”

After filming her first episode in New York City, Robb said she’s prepared for “Diaries” to be compared to the original series, but she’s not worried.

“We're never going to be that,” she said. “The show is more for my generation, but it's set in the ‘80s, so it's fun.”

I'm sad that they are making this series. The two movies and now this? They are taking a bat and beating the crap out of the franshise. I will forever love the original series but this doesn't seem appealing to me.

SJP (who I LOVE!) is running to the bank and laughing at all you people making fun of her. Muuahahahaha!

What a bunch of pathetic, angry little bullies with nothing better to do than get on here and be your horrible selves. Your mothers must be so proud of all of you children. And I would bet just about every one of you is picked on at school. The internet is your revenge, isn't it? How sad.

Nope. Try again. Why don't you take your sensitive self and go cry to some Lifetime movies.

I see a horse face too in SJP (huge, ugly nose) to compliment her skeleton physique.

I'll be so happy when Spring Break is over, and all of you children go back to elementary or middle school.

SJP is different. It's nice not to have all the same barbie faces all the time. She's not a beauty, but she does have charisma.

I was told if I called her that she had a good nose doctor. One that makes them smaller. Did she lie too much or something? Didn't know doctors can make them smaller.

Sarah Jessica Parker walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Hey, why the long face?"

It's not a joke... it's reality. She really is a horse. If you're so sore about it then get lost!

I guess she advised the young version to eat lots of hay and make sure she gets her daily run in. Good for her.

Maybe they can make a movie about SJP's very first role on television....Mr. Ed!

That young girl doesn't look nearly scary enough to play SJP. Maybe they can put a rubber warty witches nose on her to make her more believable.
