CNN Music discovers Royal Teeth, thanks to Twitter

At 10 p.m. on Tuesday night, we didn't even have a Twitter account for CNN Music. But we DID have an idea.

The plan, conceived over dinner, was to first actually create @CNN_Music, and then ask bands playing in Austin for SXSW to reply to us by noon Wednesday to be considered for a special one-song feature on CNN.com. Our tweet read:

At that point we had literally two followers – me (@jarrettbellini) and my fellow video producer Nick Scott (@nwscott).

Alex Winter on his Napster doc, 'Bill & Ted' reunion

Cult classic '80s films like “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” and “Lost Boys” helped make Alex Winter famous as an actor, but these days he is enjoying acclaim for stepping behind the camera.

He ventured to SXSW in support of his documentary about the fall of the online music sharing company Napster. Winter said he originally planned to do a narrative film on what eventually became the documentary, titled “Downloaded.”

Winter told CNN he first met Napster co-founder Shawn Fanning in 2003 “when Napster was falling apart.” The actor turned producer said he learned that Fanning and his co-founders were interested in telling their story, and Winter shared that goal.

Rihanna on Chris Brown remixes: It's innocent

The Internet seemed to go into shock last month when Rihanna and Chris Brown released two remixes, each containing vocals of the other, but Rihanna doesn't see what all of the fuss was about.

The pop star told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Thursday that Brown just happened to be the right man for the job.

"I reached out to him about doing ‘Birthday Cake,’ because that’s the only person that really...it made sense to do the record," Rihanna said. "Just as a musician, despite everything else..."

'Community' is back (but they're not getting cocky)

It was the "Community" fans' winter of discontent.

Ever since the end of last year, the NBC comedy's most faithful viewers kept hope alive by tweeting "#sixseasonsandamovie", creating fan art and fan videos, and wearing the occasional felt beard.

Finally, on Thursday night, the show they love is back on the air! But that doesn't mean creator Dan Harmon is resting on his laurels. He realizes that he is returning to one of the most difficult timeslots of the week.

Jennifer Hudson's advice to Rachel Crow

Former "X Factor" contestant Rachel Crow recently ran into another famous singing competition alum, Jennifer Hudson, and the teen rising star said Hudson offered her a little advice.

According to MTV News, the former “American Idol” contestant advised Crow to “just be herself.”

Fourteen-year-old Crow says those words were invaluable as she works to establish herself post- “Factor,” and so far she’s doing pretty well.
