Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez officially engagedIt looks like wedding bells are set to ring for actress Halle Berry and her husband-to-be, Olivier Martinez. A rep for Berry confirms that she's engaged to the 46-year-old French actor, who spilled the beans over the weekend while promoting his new Florida restaurant. “Yes, of course it’s true,” he told the Miami Herald at the opening of his eatery, Villa Azur, in South Beach.
Martinez also cleared up reports about which jeweler created Berry’s emerald and gold engagement ring. “There’s a jeweler taking credit for doing the ring, and it’s a lie!” he said. “They have nothing to do with this." He called the true creator, Robert Mazlo of Paris, "a real artist" who has been making jewelry for "kings and queens for many centuries." Speculation about the couple’s possible engagement has been swirling for weeks, ever since Berry, 45, was spotted sporting the bling. It will be the Oscar winning star's third marriage, as she was previously married to baseball player David Justice as well as singer Eric Benet. Berry also has a 3-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend and model Gabriel Aubry. There’s no word yet on a wedding date, but the Hollywood lovebirds will be seen together in the shark thriller “Dark Tide" when it hits theaters later on this month.

Halle is one beautiful woman. What's with the haters? She MARRIED two black men so maybe it's time to try a few white guys...frankly let her keep trying until she finds true happiness! Sounds like there is a double standard here...guys can marry a zillion times, dog around and yet folks hate on Halle for a few failed relationships? Please!! Halley's decision to accept an engagement is a sign of her selfishness. Her Child isn't ready for anyone other than mommy and daddy, and during a custody battle, is absolute wrong time to introduce a new person to a child, especially during the child's mental development years.

I am a bit perplexed at the numerous comments suggesting Halle is too old for the French dude. I believe they are both in their mid-forties. I am aware that this is not the norm in Hollywood as most of the middle-aged actors marry women half their age. I believe Brad Pitt, and George Clooney are both with women at least decade younger. I have yet to hear anyone criticize these mature men for being with younger women. It is not surprising that so many women in Hollywood go under the knife in an effort to remain young looking.

Poor Gabriel Aubrey. She's trying to smear him in court so she can take little Nahla to France, where Olivier can play the part of new daddy. smh. If she succeeds in taking Aubrey's custodial rights away, and if she takes off to France with that child, he may never see his daughter again. Anyone remember all those reported cases where one parent kidnapps a child and runs off to a foreign country where the laws make it almost impossible for the other parent to get their child back? This looks like it's shaping up for something like that, only she's trying to use the court for her own gain and to make it that much harder for Aubrey to get his daughter back. Halle wants to paint Aubrey as an unfit parent so she can run off to France with the girl. It's sad.
