Tell us, Cuba Gooding Jr.: What's the story behind your name?

From “Boyz N The Hood” to “Men of Honor,” Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has quite the resume.

Gooding’s most recent role was Major Emanuelle Stance in “Red Tails,” a film which takes a look at the role African-American Tuskegee Airmen played in WWII.

In his iReport interview, Gooding explains why he thinks making military-themed films like “Red Tails” is important, and he also reveals the story behind his name.

Stars talk marriage equality at Prop 8 play

There was major star power arriving to see the West Coast reading of the Proposition 8 play, "8," when the production debuted Saturday in Los Angeles.

Written by Dustin Lance Black, "8" chronicles the federal trial to overturn the California legislation that prohibited same-sex marriage.

The cast for the one-night-only production included Brad Pitt, George Clooney, George Takei, Jane Lynch, John C. Reilly, Chris Colfer, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Martin Sheen.

Oprah to interview Bobbi Kristina, Houstons

Everyone's thoughts have been with Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina as she copes with her mother's sudden death, and we'll soon hear from the 18-year-old herself.

Oprah Winfrey has announced that she'll sit down with Bobbi Kristina as well as other members of the Houston family for an interview airing on OWN Sunday, March 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Presented as a special episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter," Bobbi Kristina will recall memories of her mother and how she wants the world to remember the legendary entertainer.

Lindsay Lohan brings in high ratings for 'SNL'

Lindsay Lohan's "comeback" hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live" hasn't received rave reviews, but at least the viewers showed up to watch.

According to TVByTheNumbers.com, Lohan's fourth time hosting the late night comedy show, along with musical guest Jack White, yielded the second-highest ratings of the season.

With a 5.5 overnight household rating, it was bested only by the January 7edition of "SNL," which had Charles Barkley as host and Kelly Clarkson as the musical guest. (That episode did have the lead-in of the NFL Wild Card playoff game.)

Guitarist Ronnie Montrose dies at 64

At the age of 64, rock guitarist Ronnie Montrose died Saturday in his California home, Montrose's booking agent tells CNN.

The musician had been struggling with prostate cancer "for a number of years."

Montrose's son says in a statement that just a few months prior, "we held a surprise party for Ronnie Montrose's 64th birthday. He gave an impromptu speech, and told us that after a long life, filled with joy and hardship, he didn't take any of our love for granted."

A fateful decision on a shocking 'Walking Dead'

[Editor's Note: This post contains some spoilers for the March 4 episode of "The Walking Dead." Don't read any further if you don't want to know.]

It was a rare moment of agreement between Rick and Shane on Sunday night's episode of "The Walking Dead."

The two decided that their prisoner, Randall, posed too much of a potential threat and had to die.

Most of the survivors, including Hershel, agreed with them. Dale was the only voice of dissent.
