Overheard: President Obama's fave 'Wire' characterAmong other contentious topics, like his pick for the best basketball player ever, President Obama has given his official line on who was the best character from "The Wire" (may the series rest in peace). While chatting with Bill Simmons on "The B.S. Report," Obama said:
So there you have it, "Wire" fans. Debate with the Pres as you will. (And if you're curious: Michael Jordan's the greatest basketball player ever in Obama's book.) As for us, we're now curious if Obama's also a huge "Boardwalk Empire" fan... |

Congratulations to President Obama, it really shows that Americans are the feondur of dempcracy. Hopefully other countries will follow that example of being a true democraticTo President Obama don't forget how hard life used to be in that country, rule with pride, and respect the people who voted for you erespective of your skin colour. It really shows that the world will become one in future, where people will live together with respect, dignity and without descriminationYou reminds of South Africa becoming free from evil governmentLONG LIVE THE SPIRIT OF DEMOCRACY
The only reason why President Bush wasnt in the media as much was because he would always answer like Homer Simpson! But I think that's cool Pres. Obama.
When asked what was President Bush's favorite character from " the Wire "? George W. Bush response was " Barbed " wire of course!
Lmao
That's not even remotely clever...just goes to show that liberals will laugh at anything with a G.W. or Sarah Palin reference.
Best TV show ever, and Omar is the best character ever. Whatever else you may say about Obama, the man has taste.
President Obama likes "The Wire"? Way too cool. My favorite program of all time as well. Not easy to watch since it does ask questions most would rather ignore about urban America. But Omar!! "When you come at the king, you better not miss".
