What made Melissa McCarthy cry on Oscars night?Not to worry - they were sentimental tears! Melissa McCarthy explained on the red carpet that the designer of her shoes, pal Brian Atwood, had an inscribed a thoughtful, special message on the bottom of one of her heels. "My friend Brian Atwood made my shoes with a sweet message on the bottom," McCarthy told us on the red carpet, as she took off her shoe to show it off. (You can't say McCarthy isn't down-to-earth!)
"He wrote, 'Exclusively made for my BFF Melissa McCarthy on Oscar night," the Oscar nominated actress read, admitting that he made her shed a few tears. But by the time she stepped onto the red carpet, McCarthy was all smiles. The Oscars, "it’s crazy on every level," McCarthy said. "My mom and dad and sister are here with me tonight, and to see them in the midst of all of this is almost keeping me calmer because I’m worried about them. On the way over, I said, 'Oh my God, I think we're going to the Oscars.'"

I read all the comments posted, and it struck me that I have finally found out why kids are bullies, they learn it at home from some of the immature adults that posted on here. Kids act they way thier parents act. I say Congratulations to her for being nominated for an Oscar and I think she is a great comedic actress.
I think that Melissa is quite pretty and has a good sense of humor. That dress, on the other hand, was just butt ugly. I hope that picture just did it an injustice. Otherwise, what was she thinking?

Melissa is brilliant and adorable. She was the most gifted host SNL has seen in years and one of the few people ever to be Oscar nominated for a comedic role. She deserves all of the accolades that she can get.
