'Bodyguard' musical coming to London

Hollywood was said to be working on a modern take of "The Bodyguard" before star Whitney Houston's passing, and it appears the 1992 film will also be turned into a musical.

According to the U.K.'s Guardian, a stage version of the story has been in the works since last year, and producers are now said to be preparing the musical to arrive in London's West End in November.

Tony and Grammy winner Heather Headley will reportedly star as Rachel Marron - the role Houston famously played opposite Kevin Costner in '92.

If you recall, Costner portrayed a former Secret Service agent hired to protect pop star Marron, and the two eventually fall for each other. The stage production isn't expected to stay completely true to the film, but it is expected to include songs from the movie's iconic soundtrack, such as "I Will Always Love You."

As for Costner's role, the producers haven't announced further casting. Would you be interested in seeing "The Bodyguard" on stage?

Actually: I would probably go to London just to discover this musical of The BodyGuard.
People will surely appreciate all that will honor the memory of our dear Whitney Houston... It might even be another chance to remember the exceptional legacy she left to the music industry and to the world with her voice: THE VOICE.
I was blessed to hear and see her in Antwerp 24th May 2010: Watch that in youtube/LadyBabyShow with + 100 000 views = a bit shaky but great close-up: I Love the Lord seen 58 000 x, I Will Always Love You, Michael Jackson tribute...
I love Whitney as well in Waiting to Exhale, for the woman she naturally played, and The Preacher's Wife for the Gospel songs and all she shared with her mother and family! R.I.P. Whitney Houston. We will always love you...
StarAmaDeus who saw Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Lionel Richie, U2, Genesis, Donnie Mc Clurkin, Mary Mary, Myles Munroe, Benny Hinn, Paula White, met twice Cece Winans, and named her 4th daughter: Whitney!
