Whitney was beautiful woman with a beautiful voice that died way too soon. How many grammy's would she have won had she been well? I will miss her sweet voice and sweet smile. It is true that we are responsible for ourselves. "There but for the grace of God go I". All white people are not racists like the children on this post who try to get a rise but using language that they think will make them appear to be funny and crude to their friends as they all sit around and post garbage. They will grow up someday hopefully.

I just want to say that I hope the family will keep praying because the lord will never give you more than you can bare and don't worry about comments being made by people who only knew what the media told them. Leaving a comment on this site is like watching a battlee of good and evil. I see so many insanely ugly, hate filled comments here followed by messages of God and His son the Lord Jesus Christ. Its funny how people become brave and bold behind computer screens. Scripture says the power of death and life is in the tongue and those who love it shall eat its fruit. When judgment day comes God the Father will show how our words lifted someone up or made them die a slow and painful death. Some words build up and some tear down but we are responsible for every word that comes out of our mouths. The hate filled messages come from someone who thinks nothing happens when they die and they actually believe they are in charge of their own lives.

Please think if this was your grandmother, mother, sister, or daughter and someone was saying the things some of you are saying about Whitney Houston. People make bad choices but as long as they believe that all sins are forgiven let go and let God. To the Houston family please be blessed and just know that God has his arms around your mother, daughter, niece and great friend. She is definetely safe in His arms. Long before Clive Davis discovered her, she was giving many thousands of people enjoyment and blessings with the ministry of her beautiful voice. And later multiple millions of people listened, sang, and danced to her music. Her music is played at wedding receptions to this day. And yet you haters (you know who you are) are ALL A WASTE OF SKIN for choosing to remember her for only a very short 10 year period of her life when she was lost to herself! To Whitney: God has given you rest. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. You sang for the masses and now you are singing for the angels. To Whitney's family: thank you for sharing your mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend with the world. God will give you comfort in your time of sorrow and grief.

It is so sad to see how cruel people can be, you all must have never lost someone you love. I have and I understand how sad the family is feeling. It really doesn't matter who she was to you to someone she was a mother, a daughter, a friend, a niece, and an aunt and to them her death is tragic. So out of respect for her family you should be more mature and let them have this time of grieving. We were only a part of her life because of her amazing voice which is a very small part of the life Whitney lived. So please try and be kind.

It's tragic for family,friends and fans when we see someone who is talented give their life up for drugs. We think that just because they famous and rich and attrctive their lives must be wonderful compared to ours. Then we can either cursse them for stupidity or weep and wail with the crowd over the tragedy we all. Neither has a whole lot to do with reality. Whether it's Elvis dying on a toilet, Michael Jackson paying a doctor an overdose, Kurt Cobain blowing his head off or Whitney drowning a tub..,they are all sad, sick and insecure people who hid out from reality with the drug of their choice rather than deal with life. Let's hope others learn from these peoples mistakes and make better choices in their own lives.

Come on man. We're all brazen and crass at times – I get it. But Whitney was (as we all are) a human being. A unique, irreplaceable (as we all are) living being. What happend to "human compassion"? It's part of being an intelligent, self-aware being. Even for the atheist, this is what separates us from animals – compassion for our fellow man (or woman).

I take it that most of the people offering comments are white and don’t feel that Whitney Houston should have any type of honor in her send off or from the media because she was a Black woman who went through some problems, but nobody stopped people from honouring Elvis when he died on the toilet and he had troubles with prescription drugs and alcohol as well! She was a great singer and had a poise that cannot be repeated!
