George Clooney still open to marriageAlthough he's gained a reputation as Hollywood's playboy, George Clooney hasn't totally ruled out the idea of one day settling down for good. Clooney's been married before, and as he told Piers Morgan on "Piers Morgan Tonight" last year, considering that union ended in 1993 "should show you how good I was at it." These days, however, it sounds like Clooney is ever so slightly changing his tune.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Clooney says he hasn't ruled out getting hitched once again - although, he admits, "I don't even think about it, really." Or, at least, he's not going to share if he does. The 50-year-old Oscar nominee is currently attached to Stacy Keibler, whom is often seen at his side at red carpet events, but he remains tight-lipped about their relationship. "There is so little in my life that is private," he explained. One curtain he was willing to pull back revealed that yes, he does suffer from loneliness, just like anyone else. "Anyone would be lying if they said they didn't get lonely at times," he explains to THR. "The loneliest you will get is in the most public of arenas: You will go to a place and end up in the smallest compartment possible, because it's a distraction to everybody, and you end up not getting to enjoy it like everybody else." And yet, Clooney says, "I have been infinitely more alone in a bad relationship; there's nothing more isolating. I have been in places in my life where that has existed."

The ladies know he is a great guy, you never hear anything bad about him from any of the girls he has been with over the years. I'm sure he is up front with them regarding his intentions and just wants to go with the flow.

At first I didn't see the 'to' and thought, 'I thought that was Newt'.
He doesn't have any kids, so by not getting married, he's not going to get divorced, either. It's difficuly for ubercelebrities to meet anyone they are really compatable with. Just look at all of the award shows, the same people all the time, they all stay in their little bubble, sort of like being in High School.
I love clooney so much, he is a man of integrity. But my advice for him is that the earlier the better he settles down with another woman of his choice.

Sounds a little self-absorbed if you ask me. Marriage takes work. He didn't want to work at it.
Now the wrinkles are starting to show and he knows he's running out of time. He'll marry a woman, have a couple of kids, and he'll be dead (or feel like it) by the time they're in high school. He'll never live to see his grandchildren should he have any.

George, you are very intelligent,very handsome, and very talented. I admire you're acting and I am glad that you have branched out into directing and other areas of film making. You're still my favorite actor and I believe that you have made your best film yet, "The Descendents." I hope you get the Oscar for Best Actor and other awards.
george says he's open to marriage because that's his key to keeping up the continual flow of good-looking women. when he dumps her, he can say, "nope, she wasn't the ONE, but i'm still open to marriage." then the next dumb beautiful woman thinks she just MIGHT be special enough for the great george clooney, but nope! she's not the one either.

I understand George's situation totally, he is lives in a glass cage and is condemned for every move he makes. But no one sees the fact that every person in his life personally or professionally is going to try to use him for their own gain. He is a very quiet soul, but no one will allow him to be himself totally. He hones his craft to suit the masses but unlike some he cannot go home at 5pm and have a normal life outside the job.
This guy is a modern day Rock Hudson. He's gay and hiding behind arm candy. It'll come out some day.
His career depends on him keeping up this image of a good looking straight man. He can't commit to women as I think he uses them for image and career builders. I think he prefers men but he may never open up about it and continue his life at this level as long as he finds success. Time will tell. He won't marry. Like I said... Women are accessories for him.

I think George doesn't want to marry again because fears another divorce. He's a good guy and he knows how challenging marriage can be. He wants to be 100% sure he marries the right woman for him. More people should approach marriage with such intelligent caution. Maybe there would be fewer divorces.

Warren and Annette are the perfect example of two people that nobody ever thought would settle down, until they literally locked eyes for the first time. I think George has aged quite a bit over the past couple of years, but after hearing about his health problems since he did "Syriana", plus the malaria he contracted in Africa last year, I understand. I have a long-standing injury that causes me pain 24/7 and believe me, it's draining. Especially if you are determined not to use drugs as a crutch. I hope George finds someone like Warren found Annette...maybe it really is Staci, maybe not. Only time will tell...
Look forward to the same diatribe when Jennifer Aniston's name comes up. Until he actually fathers children, he is being completely responsible thing. And who cares if he's too into himself? He again is not hurting anyone by doing it, and he has a lot better reasons to be into himself than most people, the first being that it has worked out really well.

I have news for you, all celebrities are short and pasty looking in real life. That's why they all have makeup artist, lighting, plastic surgery, and photo shop. I'm no Clooney fan, but I don't understand how he "uses" women as some suggest on here. It couldn't be more plain that he's a carefree bachelor who shies away from marriage. He picks a gal, has her on his arm for a while, she gets famous and gets to enjoy all the perks of a celebrity boyfriend, and then it's over. He never promised anything and delivered some pretty cool parting gifts.
